It gets 4-1/2 stars
The pictures could be better, some of the instructions are vague. I've read worse repair manuals, and I've read better. I tried to do a little work on the bike month ago, the section I wanted to look over was missing vital info for what was needing done. I surely wouldn't rebuild the bike with this book, but as far as specs and general information it will pass the need-to-know test. I wouldn't pay the $35 again for this book knowing what I know, if you can find a used one for $20, get it.

The quality was disappointing.
The quality of the print paper is subpar for what you would expect from a Haynes manual. The print quality is that of a cheap desktop printer. The photographs are horrible. Been using Haynes manuals for decades. This is by far the worst quality I’ve ever seen one. This is obviously a European spec manual no references to anything regarding oil and lubricants available in the United States. It does not give enough references to the spec of oil or lubricants required. Very disappointed in this manual.

Handy Reference!!
I’ve had this manual a month or so. I’ve already used it a handful of times, to make my life easier, with basic maintenance and repairs. Worth every penny!!

I bought this primarily to help me locate key maintenance items on my R1200RT. I am not a fan of Haynes manuals in general and this one is no exception. Directions are often spotty and I find them incomplete. This is worth having on your workshop bookcase, but is no substitute for a factory shop manual.

Unfortunately most of the pages are printed on newsprint grade paper and as a result images are very low resolution.
