SheaMoistureBar Soap for Troubled Skin African Black Soap Cleanser with Shea Butter 8 oz

This soap keeps me clean most the day. No other soap I’ve used has worked nearly as great on my skin. A little pricey but worth it when we’re considering hygiene. Skin feels and smells great right after a good wash and really no need for a bunch of lotion afterward it keeps the skin pretty moist. Be careful of clean up tho. The black soap residue is annoying but worth it.

I’ve decided to delay the review until ive finished using this soap. This soaps leaves my skin feeling clean, smooth and looking bright. It may dry the skin out a bit, nothing a little facial moisturizer can’t fix! Superb!

I’ve been using the SheaMoisture African Black Soap for a few weeks now, and I am seriously impressed. My skin is prone to breakouts and irritation, but this soap has been a game-changer. I have mild acne with combination skin and using this product is useful for when my skin is looking particularly dry, but using it everyday in the morning made my skin look disgustedly shiny. I used it every morning for a few weeks and I did experience a breakout in the beginning and I was hopeful that my skin was just purging and that was true to some extent.I realized that using this everyday is not good for my skin, made it shiny and gave me some acne so now I use it once or twice a week at night and my skin seems to prefer that, using it more than that can make me breakout, but using it less helps with providing my skin a nice glow. So there is a learning curve with this product. This can last for months, especially if used only once or twice a week, so that's a good deal for about 4 dollars.I know that other reviewers were not fans of the scent so that worried me initially when getting this, but I really do love the smell of this. Although it doesn't really seem to be a natural scent. I don't have sensitive skin so I'm not sure if this is good for those who do have sensitive skin, but I think it's gentle enough.Also, despite this working out after the learning curve for me, (Use it only when my skin is looking parched) I'm giving this four stars because it markets itself as something that could be used daily, which I really think for most people wouldn't fly, and also because after researching this doesn't seem to be authentic African black soap, so if authenticity is important to you, you might not want this. Seems to be a good product for those with really dry skin, but since that isn't really my skin type I have to use this less often, but it really does come through for my dry days. Wouldn't recommend for those who have oily skin, those that have combination or dry skin I would recommend this for. I will get another bar whenever this one is done, which is probably going to last another few months.

I bought this because i had heard this kind of soap was really effective, and it proved it. I use this mostly as a facial cleanser at night and it leaves your skin feeling smoother than before and actually cleaned and refreshed. Only ghing ghat some people might not like is that it is very fragrant and will make your whole bathroom smell of it, but i did not mind it, it dmells pretty good to me. Will definitely be purchasing again with this good a price.

Not bad at all, I use it for my face because it protects it from getting 2 toned plus it makes my face soft and it doesn't break my face out plus it lasts long

This soap is really good on my skin. I enjoy the smell and how big the soap is. I will continue to buy.
