OTTERBOX COMMUTER SERIES Case for HTC One M9 - Retail Packaging - Cool Melon

Hi All, This is my 4th commuter Otterbox and just as always I have never had a problem. I go with the commuter because I do construction during the week and on the weekends it is easy to take this cover off and put on a skin so I can slip it into my pocket and with the invisishield glass it's perfect for both. I got this for my HTC M9 as soon as it was available. By the feel it is a little skinnier than my last commuter and the edges a little more rounded for a better feel in your hand. The m9 is quite slippery so with the added rubber on the sides it makes for a good grip. Unfortunately HTC put all the buttons on one side of this phone but Otterbox did a good job with the distinction between the volume and the power button. This is also one of the only cases that covers the plug holes. I'm really not hoping to test out the OtterBox but if I do I know my phone is well protected. Just my two cents, hope this helps.

First off, the description said it came with a screen protector, when it didn't and I messaged the seller they said that this was an error in the description and it wasn't intended to come with a screen protector so if that is your deciding point you may want to message the seller to be sure before you buy.As for the case itself, it's nice and goes on easy but fits snuggly. It is a bit bulky and the white is more eggshell so if you're looking for a clean vibrant white you won't find it in this case. That said, this case isn't nearly as slippery as other cases I've tried and it feels solid in the hand. I don't like the cover for the charging port, it is stiff and seems to put pressure on the charging cable so I will likely actually cut that part off to avoid damage to the charging port and/or cable.

After 4 months of use, Otterbox's Commuter Case for HTC One M9 has definitely proven to be worth the $25. It might have been a bit costly for a phone case, but after multiple drops over 4 feet, it has shown its worth. While I do have a glass screen protector on my phone, I would trust the cover to protect my phone on its own.There is a rubber lip that keeps the screen off hard surfaces, so if it falls face down, it doesn’t hit a flat surface. The rubber inner case also covered the buttons, which work with no difficulty. There is a rubber flap that also covers the charging and headphone inputs. I expected that piece to be tearing off by now, but it still fits snugly. The outer hard case has a few scuffs on it, but that’s to be expected after dropping it while getting out of a parked car multiple times.This was my first Otterbox phone case, but I would definitely trust this brand again in the future.

As someone who drops their phone perhaps more than the average person, I definitely think it's worth investing in a good case. This has the hard outer and soft inner shell and has protected my phone well for a full year now. My only complaints is that it does make the phone a bit bigger and the white gets dirty pretty easily. I wish there were more color options or I would definitely order a new one since the white one I have is not quite white any longer.

My husband loves this case. We previously had a Defender case (also by otter box) but found the plastic screen protector caused lags with the touch response. This one does not have that, so we use a stick on screen protector in addition. The hard outer piece is nice that it slides into your pocket easier vs. the ones that have the softer rubber on the outside, yet the hard outer piece has enough grip for your hand that it doesn't feel like it will fall out of your hand easily.

The Otterbox Commuter does an excellent job protecting my M9. When I first bought the M9, I noticed that the side on/off button was a bit on the sensitive side. With just normal, routine handling of the phone, I often times shut the phone off and was not aware that I did that. The Otterbox protects the side on/off switch so that the accidental bumping of the switch no longer happens. This was a huge, unexpected benefit of buying this case to protect my phone. Great phone and now with great protection!!

The colors are beautiful! Mostly periwinkle with a darker purple inside. All the buttons function well. The USB charger port is covered up by the case but this is good for protection from water. And since I only charge once a day it's not a big deal to open it up then. I like that this raised bezel on this otterbox is not rubbery like my last one which got discolored from my jeans pocket!!! Love the case and love my new phone!

I love this case. The commuter series is so much better than the defender. The color was a little different (it seemed more blue than purple) but I still love it. I don't use the screen protector that came with it but it seemed to be a good quality screen protector. I've had this case for a few months now and it is holding up great just like all of the commuter cases from Otter Box! I would never use any other case.

Exactly as described. I've been using this same case for over a year now. It's beyond great. It's safely protected my phone from all the drops because it "bounces" on the soft rubber corners. This is the only brand that I would buy. Period.

Otterbox cases are the best. Incredibly protective, but a bit bulkier than some. If you're rough with your phone, this is HIGHLY recommended.

My second OtterBox commuter case. Seems just as good as the first one, which endured 3 years of hard usage without a complaint, and works as fine today as it did in 2013. Perfect fit, good protection. no interference with operation.

I always buy otter. Always protects the phone from drops. Not too cumbersome. Delivery well before expected date.
