Not sure why it's coming up as a toy review, but it's a great product.
I bought this for our small outdoor fish pond. I don't know the exact size or volume, but it's about 3' x 4'. Our previous pump/filter had given out partly because it was too powerful for a tiny pond. This seems to be just right. It makes a nice little fountain & filters the water really well. (We used the fountain nozzle from our other pump/filter because we wanted a more traditional tiered fountain, but this kit includes the basic bubble and waterbell type water pattern.) We had clear water again after just one day. It has been a little over a month since we installed, and no problems. It's easy to clean, and at this price is such a great value.UPDATE: It has now been a year and this pump is still working great. We kept it running all winter without the fountain part attached and it provided enough movement that our little pond didn't freeze solid and it kept our comets happy and healthy during this unbelievable winter! Now that it's warm out, it continues to keep the water crystal clear, doesn't clog over-easily and is easy to clean. I have not had the problem that others spoke of with the tab of the cover breaking off, but I also don't just try and rip it off. Very satisfied with this product! SECOND UPDATE: It has now been almost 2 years (and a very rough winter in the northeast!) and this pump is still working beautifully! My fish survived the winter as this kept the water moving even in the deep freezes we had. Great product!

Works great/easy to clean!
This is the best small pond filter pump I've tried. It is easy to clean and works perfectly. I'm hoping I can find new filters when the ones that came with it wear out. I definitely recommend this product.

WORKS WELL
Checked the product as soon as it arrived to make sure it worked. It does, my problem was poor packaging, a damaged box, and a partially crushed box. So I was grateful it worked. I have had 3 of these pumps are there are great for small ponds. I currently use a 100 gallon stock tank but also have had 50 gallon stock and metal tanks for ponds and these work great and keep the pond from freezing over in the winter.

Great filter for a small outdoor pond!
UPDATE!I bought this pump/filter 5 years ago and it just quit working today. FIVE YEARS of constant use I got out of it, and it was great that whole five years. So great in fact, that I'm ordering another of the exact same one today.Very easy to assemble and install. Mine arrived without any kind of instructions, however it was so simple that instructions really werent needed.I've had to wash out the filter pads several times already (which means it's doing exactly what it's meant to do!) My 50 gallon outdoor pond was awful with algae and bottom sludge, which I've also been adding products to treat the problem. But this filter works hard, does it's job, and the filter pads simply have to be cleaned out once they are heavily used. Now I can actually see my fish again!I've only had this a little while, so I can't tell you about durability yet. But it's already been well worth the small price I paid for it.Like others mentioned, I did have to weight it down with a rock, not a big deal at all.I would like to find out if I could purchase other tips to use with it, just to change up the water pattern sometimes.

Don't buy this product!
I even bought two of these. I bought one and it stopped working after about 3 months. I thought it might be mee so I ordered another. It stopped working about 3 days after the return window closed (less than 6 weeks). I called the company and they told me to work a little lever on the top of the pump. I did and it worked for another 24-36 hours. So I called them back. they asked me to jump thru hoops...send a picture of the pump; send a picture of it in the pond; send a ;picture of the invoice; send a ;picture of it out of a pondf; send a picture of it in a bucket. I did all this and never got a credit. I called them and they said I needed to fill out another form with all the information I just sent them. Then they tell me I am responsibel to pay to send it back and maybe for the price to have another one shipped...oir they would fix the one I just sent back. It was only 58$ for goodness sakes! They make it impossible to work with. I only had it for about 6 weeks. Their cusgtomer service is horrible. I guess you get what you pay for.Tthis company is for the birds!!!

This worked great for our little pond!
This is a great little pond pump / filter / water feature for our small pond (approx 200 gallons) inset on our front porch. It cleans the water through removable/washable/replaceable filters and creates a pretty round water spray (you can control the size of the diameter). I bought this same item many years ago (at least 6, maybe more) and it stayed on year round. It went through winters of freezing weather where the top of the pond was frozen solid but the fountain was a crystal ice palace that kept the water moving and kept our die hard gold fish alive. Here is a picture of the frreeze in 2009 and of my dog drinking out of the frozen fountain in 2010! Eventually the pump just wore out. Even my husband, who is a marine mechanic, said it was toast. So I went back to the store I bought it from and they no longer carried it. Thank goodness for Amazon who hooked me up with Pondmaster and even though I was bummed that I couldn't just replace the pump, I now have a new unit that is working great! Thank you Amazon and Pondmaster!
