This works well to eliminate pet odors until I get around to truly cleaning the carpet, and I'm pleased to know that it is pet safe when it gets on their paws.

This smells nice but the scent isn't long lasting. The product is basically just baking soda and fragrance.

I cannot speak highly enough of this product.I do yoga on my carpet instead of a mat which I know, #1 mistake right there. Well it obviously got very stinky from me rolling around half-naked and sweaty all over it every day. It was strong enough that the smell would emit even outside of the room. I tried literally everything to get rid of the B.O. smell.Carpet shampoos, detergent, regular baking powder, scented carpet powder, essential oils, Febreze, perfume, pinesol, rubbing dryer sheets and deodorant on it, leaving the window open all day - literally EVERYTHING.Then I even paid to have it cleaned/steamed with no results whatsoever; actually I think it made it worse by getting it wet!So THEN I gave up and replaced it with an expensive "odor-shield" carpet. Well seeing as how I'm clearly a glutton for punishment and learned nothing at all, I got it right back stinky in about 5 months.So this time, I was extremely upset that I'd just paid for and replaced the carpet just for it to happen almost immediately again. At this point, I had decided to just rip the carpet out and lay down hardwood. Which is obviously not a cheap renovation. I was dreading paying that and having to do all the research for the wood, scheduling appointments, etc.SO I tried one very last thing. This stuff. Not expecting it would work when nothing else had.I covered the carpet with it, let it sit overnight and vacuumed up the next morning....THE SMELL WAS COMPLETELY GONE!!!!!!!!!!!Not masked, GONE. I mean I shoved my nose into it and scooted around like dog to try to find one smell of stink left and not a thing.The smell it did leave behind (Oxi Clean) is just wonderful! Smells just like fresh laundry. To top that off, it made the carpet FEEL like fresh laundry... soft and plush.I wanted to wait to leave this review also until I knew the results would last.Well it has been a week and a half and the B.O. smell is still completely banished even with me continuing to exercise and sweat on it.It may need some additional sprinkle and maintenance in the future, but that is absolutely fine by me.So to sum up my TMI, rambling story: This product saved me thousands of dollars, it does EXACTLY what is says it will, it is the ONLY thing I found that worked and I could not be any happier.Please never discontinue this item!!!!

You cannot go wrong with this product. It’s truly fantastic. I’ve been using this product for over 6 years now, and it’s truly the best smelling, most effective, most long lasting freshness of any carpet powder I’ve ever used. We have a large home, and carpeted bedrooms and many area rugs on hardwood throughout our home. We also have 11 adopted rescue cats and two foster cats that live inside only. So lots of litter pans and lots of hair and scattered and trekked litter and residual smells. This carpet powder is like a miracle for us. I just sprinkle it over the complete carpet area, let it sit for about 10 minutes, and then vacuum. It truly does lift more dirt and cat hair and leaves the carpet smelling absolutely delicious with no trace of foul odors. I get so many compliments on the smell when people visit our home. They are always amazed that we have so many cats but no nasty smells, and always ask what I use. And when I show them they hardly believe it’s just an arm and hammer pet product carpet powder because it’s such a bargain price from just a standard manufacturer. My one friend loved the smell so much that she now uses it exclusively in her home too…even though she has no pets. 😂 So if you’re wondering if it works, and if you should buy it, all I can write is, YES IT REALLY WORKS. YES BUY IT IMMEDIATELY…and YES, IT’S ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. You cannot go wrong with this product. It’s truly the best.
