Just what I needed (almost)
I wanted to install a quad-band antenna on my new truck, but did not want to put any holes in it. My antenna, a Diamond CR-9800 has a SO-239 mount and I was unable to find a reasonably priced mount for it. The Firestik mount is made of thick stainless steel and has 4 stainless 10-32 x 1" screws and a 3/8"-24 mount for a whip.I had to make several simple modifications to the mount for my purposes. 1) Enlarge the hole to allow a PL-259 connector to fit through it (I was using the mount and cable from my Diamond 400 mount). This was a simple matter using a step drill bit, a little oil and a medium speed. 2) Install longer screws into the plates so that I could tilt the mount into the stake hole since I did not have access to the bottom of the pocket. The only problem was trying to find longer 10-32 screws at my local BORG. Removing the two screws farthest from the mounting hole allowed me to easily slide the lower plate into the pocket and then tighten the screws some. The quality of the mount was such that the other two screws went right into the bottom plate without even having to wiggle to get into the holes. After tightening everything down, and adding a ground line, they even had a hole on the mount for this, I am a very happy ham. You will need to run a grounding wire to the body, as vehicle paint will prevent getting a good ground, essential for a low SWR and good communication, and I was not about to scrape my truck down to the bare metal. The Firestik people tell you this about their antennas in several highlighted boxes. Attempting to move the mount actually moved the entire truck slightly, no flex noted at all. I would recommend using a little loctite, just on general principle, to prevent loosening due to vibration. My tonneau cover goes on as if the mount is not there, and there doesn't seem to be any leakage, bowing or other problems. All-in-all, this appears to be a solid mount, easy to install, and half the price of other mounts.

Good buy
That was a little tricky to install underneath my Tano ( I don’t have the soft tonno I have the hard foldable Tono cover) But it worked and it’s pretty sturdy. I’ll probably get another one for the other side of my truck

Good construction, does not fit Nissan Frontier
It is a great mount but, it does not fit my 2018 Nissan Frontier. I jad to go with a different mount.

This was a great CB antenna base for my 2017 Silverado.
This was an inexpensive CB radio antenna mount for my 2017 Silverado. It was very sturdy and hooked up nicely with the Browning BR-28 High-Performance Broad Band 63- Inch CB Antenna.

Works good and adds a little flex to my antenna I accidentally forgot to remove my antenna when backing in the garage the mount bent saving my antenna and I was able to just bend it back

Does not fit 2017 Silverado 2500
The product is good and the quality great but it did not fit on my truck.Instead I stole the design Idea and made my own and it came out better. I gave 4 stars because if it fit it would be great. I was looking for a solid install without scratching or drilling my truck. This does meet those requirements. The connector is replaceable. So do just consider that connector type.

Works great as a roofrack mount to
I kept looking for some sort of mount to mount a firestick antenna to my Gobi roofrack. This works perfect to mount to the grate instead of the tube rails. It holds better than any of the tube mounts I tried and the plate is sturdy and flat to keep the rack unobstructed from the antenna mount.

Solid mount
I have a 4' Firestik fiberglass antennae on this in the front stake hole pocket of my F150, and even on the trails, it doesn't flex much. It's so solid, that it would take quite a lot of effort to bend it permanently. One thing to note is that I had to use a ring-style antenna connector on this because it doesn't reach far enough over the outside of the bed rail for a regular PL-259 connector. No big deal there though. It's a little tricky to fish it in the stakehole pocket and line the screw holes up, but I got lucky and even though I couldn't see what I was doing, it lined up on the first try.
