This is one of the better plastic sets I have bought over the years.You get 36 regular soldiers with mixed period armor, and 4 plate armored commanders. You can equip the soldiers with either a bow or a polearm, but there aren't enough weapons to equip all models with one type (and more bows than polearms). There are many extra sheathed swords and swords with buckler that can be used to give the men a secondary weapon, and many heads with open faced helmets to choose from. The commanders have a wealth of options and can be armed with a sword or polearm, and can choose from open or closed face helms in several styles.This is an outstanding set. After you have completed all your models to your taste, you will have a wealth of quality heads and weapons to use for conversions with other minis, which is a nice bonus to an already inexpensive set. Individual bases would be nice but that is nit picking. In short, if you want soldiers with bows and polearms, get this set.These figures come with wargame bases intended for more than one model. The models stand well enough on their own but are better on a base. You will need bases for single figures if you want to use them in this way. The box also includes quite a few bits of arrows thrust in the ground, that make a nice piece of fluff when included on an archer's base.

Got what I wanted on time

Not as pictured. Very small pieces need to be assembled and painted. Very disappointed.

I added to my 28mm Medieval army for my wargames with this purchase. Perry sculpts are top notch- highly recommended. Amazon took 3 days to get them to me verses 3 weeks (or longer) to get from the UK.

Great proxy for GW for the price. Size is super close to empire. I actually like the details better. Will make a good unit for my army
