The large, easy-to-read face found on the Casio Men's Ana-Digi Forester Illuminator Sport Watch make it a favorite everyday accessory for athletes. This durable timepiece is constructed with a stainless steel case, a stationary brown stainless steel bezel, and a comfortable brown nylon wristband with an adjustable buckle clasp for a personalized fit. A durable mineral window shields the cream dial face, which features black Arabic numeral hour indexes, striking black watch hands, and a digital display at the six o'clock position. The quartz-powered watch includes day, date, and month displays, and is water resistant to 330 feet. CasioWith the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

A nice everyday watch
I was tired of wearing my 40mm+ watches that look like alarm clocks on a strap and decided to go back to a smaller size watch for every day wear. I ordered this watch because it's a CASIO and I have had many over the years and I have liked every one of them. I still like my large dial heavy watches but I am pleased to wear this as it is so light on the arm. This size watch in my opinion is the "normal" size of watches before large diameter watches became popular. The analog and digital function is great as I aften drive between two time zones. The digital time is small but I can read it easily. Finally, it tells time, I like the look of it and I recommend this for you to consider when looking for an every day inexpensive watch that looks nice.

Love This Watch!
I've been wearing this watch for about two weeks now. I'll start by saying the only thing I don't really like about it is the digital part of the watch. I would rather have it full analog but I can't hold that against the watch because I knew it was an ana-digi hybrid. I really like the way this watch looks. I'm not really sure why, it doesn't look fashionable or fancy, and I don't really care about either of those things. There's just something about the look I really like. I've been wearing it to work a lot and on a few short hikes and fishing trips. I wanted a watch that could get wet and still work but could also handle a little abuse. So far it's held up great! I really like that it doesn't have a crown knob to adjust the time and such. It's comfortable and easy to read and it has the same sort of indiglow Timex watches have. The last "outdoor" watch I had was a Timex and the knob fell off somehow during the first long backpacking trip I took it on so I came to amazon looking for an analog watch without a crow for a good price and I think this is the best value I could have gotten!

Best watch for the money
The Forester is an attractive watch, has a cloth band with a metal latch, and has all the functions needed. Month, day, and date can be easily seen on the multi-function display, although the "d" for dual time and the "pm" displays are tiny. There are two digital times, one for the time in your local area that is used to set the alarm and one for a second time zone, and a stop watch. The display are easily switched by the press of a button. It's tricky getting the alarm set so the alarm sounds but the hourly "ding" doesn't, but you'll get the hang of it. The analog time is set by pressing and holding a button until the hands start moving, release the button when you get to the correct time in either 12 or 24-hour style. The band has enough holes that a woman could wear it also. One caveat, the watch has two batteries, one for the light and the second for the watch. The instructions say the batteries it comes with are factory installed for testing purposes and won't last as long as replacement batteries. So be prepared to have the batteries replaced sooner rather than later. That's why I rated it a 4 star instead of a 5 star.

Review written after 1 year of use: Durable case with useful features
This fit pretty much all the criteria of what my teenager wanted in a watch. Analog and digital display with alarm and light in a fairly attractive brown color scheme. He said it was easy to set up and use.The case has held up well to a year of use by a teenager. The tiny scratches that are obvious in the macro photo are nearly invisible in use. I did have to replace the band after only a few months, it split right where the spring bar sits. I don't think it was poor quality. The leather band I replaced it with is already showing significant wear as well.

This is a great watch model
This is a great watch model. In fact, I've bought 5 of them over the past 10 years. I still have 2 of them "saved" in the new box for the day my others finally "give out". But they never stop working. They just keep running and running.. I like telling time by "analog". Yes, I'm "old fashioned". So I like the analog watch face, but this watch also has digital readout, a stop watch, and a second digital time zone you can set. Push a button, and the dial lights up a bright green to see the time in the dark. And the price is fantastic. At $23, it costs less to buy the entire watch rather than replacing the wrist band and batteries (it takes two batteries - one for the night light and one for the analog/digital timepiece). I heartily recommend this watch to anyone who wants a nice, reliable, inexpensive watch to wear every day. No one is going to "rob you" over a $22 watch!

My everyday timepiece
Unbeieveable watch, wore last one for almost THREE [3] years that almost never came off my wrist, except to clean. Swam showered, ran, biked drove and did some viewing with the Backlight which makes this watch Multi-purpose and to see the time in the dark of night or in the closet or basement etc, etc...What compares dollar to dollar?? My wife's cartier santos at 7ooo.00, which had to serviced within a year [ cost-300.00] thanks under warranty,or change battery, $60.00!My Rolex, water damage, restored for $$1200.00, Rolex estimated $3000.00My Casio even fell into my Jaguzzi one time and I came back for it and it STILL was running! Go figure? And I do get compliment on it so,Even with a collection of collectable watches from 1917 thru the '60 such as Omega, Greun, Hamilton, Bulova, Patek Philippe, etcMy everyday wrist timepiece is Forester

Excellent Casio Forester watch
I received this watch two days earlier than the estimated delivery date. This watch is a really good watch for the price and is water resistant to 100M.The watch has an excellent illuminator which really lights up the watch face which is certainly better than other watches I have seen. The watch strap is fabric with a faux leather outer covering. The watch is not available in the UK as it is for the USA and Canada markets but can be purchased via Amazon.Definitely recommend this watch and I will be purchasing another one of these.
