KAC Ride Bike Frame Adjustable Telescopic Bicycle Cross Bar

As with my KAC bike carrier, the crossbar to enable step-through bikes to be secured to the carrier works perfectly.

I am just short enough at 5'5" to have a little bit of a struggle getting my bike up onto the rack over the hatch of my Prius. I was managing, but it was a pain... especially at the END of a ride! ;pThis little beauty made life so much easier - but it did take me a couple of tries to figure out the best direction for the bar! (tip - put it on so that the little handles would open down, not up, if that makes sense)I keep this in a basket with other gear in the back of my car. It takes 2 seconds to clip on, and makes popping the bike up on the rack a breeze! I added a velcro tire strap to my car kit, which I use to add a little extra stability (my bike was a little "swingy" hanging from the bar) and that seems to work just great.I've only used it twice so far before the cold and rain returned, but I love it so far! Can't wait to hit the trails this spring!

Made my bike work good on a rack.

We used 2 of these bars in a slightly different way than intended. We have two e-bikes which we like to transport in the back of our pickup truck, standing up, with both handle bars in the same direction. We installed these bars in a cross - X mode from one bike to another.. one seat post to the opposing bike's handlebar post and vice versa. Then we used one tiedown per bike to secure to the bed of the truck. The tension on each side kept each bar tight and snug, no way it could come loose, and made for an incredibly solid mode of transport.The bars themselves are constructed of very solid metal, with a thick non-scratch coating on the hooks that contact the bike. Very well made, and the perfect solution for an otherwise complicated problem.

I am a woman who has had a mans bike for the past twenty years. As I got older I found it harder to manage getting on and off the bike with the bar. Two years ago I purchased my first bike made for women. We found it more of a challenge to hang the bikes up like we had in the garage. We purchased this bar to alleviate this problem. The bar seems well made and was easy to figure out how to use and solved our problem of hanging them up on the wall. Issue solved! You can't go wrong here!

Seems like a very nice bar from same manufacturer we bought our rack from. Unfortunately the bar was packaged without padding and arrived broken. We are returning with good padding and getting one locally.
