Which Coder is for you?
Compared to VCDS, OBDeleven is generally more user-friendly and mobile app-based, making it great for DIYers and enthusiasts. While VCDS is often seen as more professional with superior live data graphing and a slightly broader feature set, OBDeleven’s Pro Plan offers a cost-effective and convenient alternative for those who want comprehensive diagnostics and coding on their phone. OBDeleven also features One Click Apps for easy modifications, whereas VCDS is more traditional and laptop-based. One click apps you do have to pay for though. I personally recommend long coding. The OBDeleven Pro Plan subscription (around €60 per year) strikes a good balance between price and functionality, particularly for individuals working on their own VAG vehicles. It provides a compact, easy-to-use solution with robust diagnostic depth, making it a solid choice for both hobbyists and some professional users who don’t require the full complexity of VCDS.In short, OBDeleven with the Pro Plan is an excellent, versatile tool for Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, and Škoda owners wanting advanced diagnostic and coding capabilities in a portable, app-based format — with a favourable price compared to traditional systems like VCDS.I do like how its not limited to a certain number of vins too!

A must have for VAG owners
Fantastic bit of kit for VAG owners. Really in-depth scanning, huge amount of DIY maintenance functions like DPF regen or turning on/off pumps etc. the one click apps are expensive as you have to pay everytime you want to activate/deactivate a certain function, but if you use the long code or manual functions you can avoid the costs (google it)

Expensive credits
Credits are too expensive and only read codes which any code reader can do

Decent but expensive!
Pros:Excellent for VAG cars (VW, Audi, Skoda, SEAT, etc.)Super easy to use compared to VCDSWorks straight out of the boxFull coding and error-checking abilities, with advanced long coding if neededCons:One-click apps require extra credits, which get expensive fastSubscription required just to use the deviceOverall:OBD11 is one of the best tools for VAG owners. It’s easier to use than VCDS, works reliably, and offers powerful coding features. The subscription + credits model is frustrating, but the tool itself performs really well and makes diagnosing or customizing your car much simpler.

Mixed bag - good but pricey!
Bit of a mixed bag this one…I purchased this primarily to enable me to do quick customisations on a new (to me) 2018 Audi S4. It was pretty unclear what’s included with this VAG specific model, I’d thought I would get a year’s worth of access to one-click apps but it’s sadly not the case and you need to purchase expensive credits or an even more expensive subscription to use them. What was great for me however (though I didn’t think I’d need them) was the ability to clear fault codes and reset service/inspection notices. This wasn’t the initial intention when purchasing this product, but it was a welcome feature to me.Out of principle, I haven’t purchased credits or a subscription as I just don’t think they’re worth the money due to the already feature-rich car I’ve just bought (lucky me) but the device itself works as you’d expect, is of good quality and if you’re willing to pay extra for the pleasure of one-click apps, go for it.I can honestly say that if there was more that I could personally achieve with the one-click apps, I’d probably have bought a subscription to their VAG Ultimate plan but others who aren’t so lucky as me would probably benefit from them a whole lot more. There are competitors to this out there and so my advice is to do your research into how much you actually need to spend before committing to purchasing any of them.Hope this helps!

Well worth buying
This is vastly superior to a OBD2 connector I had purchased 10 years ago.(The previous one would not work on VAG cars post 2018 even though I bought the software recently). As well as being able to fault diagnose, it is possible to carry out routine servicing procedures such as priming the fuel filter, winding back the electronic brakes when changing rear pads, etc. It is also possible to tweak lights , wiper's and dash etc. I am also looking forward to disabling the auto stop/start permanently. The manufacturers are very responsive to questions.
