A Spare I Never Knew I Needed
Of all the things I never knew I needed a spare for, this oil cap is at the top of the list. My car is older. We check the oil and other fluids regularly usually but recently things were hectic and it had been some weeks. It needed a quart of oil but when we tried to get the cap off, it wasn’t coming off. Then I realized that if we had to force it off as on the Internet, we didn’t have another oil cap to put on. I wasn’t going to drive it that way so I ordered this cap and was going to wait it out. Eventually the car’s engine cooled enough or something else happened to let us get the cap off without destructive means. I put this new one on. It seemed to fit well and went on smoothly. I had my mechanics check it when I took the car in for service and they said it fit just fine. Since I don’t live near an auto store, I’m always going to have a spare oil cap in my car now.
