Housekeeper For The Holidays
Hannah's daughter Rebecca has her work cut out for her...Everyone else who has tried to help Caleb Wittner has quit, saying he is impossible to please. He has been called boring, rude and harsh. And his daughter has been described as spoiled and hard to manage. Why would Rebecca want to get involved...The author does a superb job showing Rebecca's reasons for hesitating... on top of the many complaints, Caleb has just been chosen to be one of the preachers - a job that will last all his lifetime.Well, she doesn't want to get involved. But she does offer to help out as housekeeper and babysitter. I won't say anything else, except to encourage you to read the book!I thoroughly enjoyed reading more about Hannah and her daughters... and this story is a great continuation from the previous ones.Ms. Miller does a great job with the characters... reading this series, I feel as if I have already met the family and am part of the community! I got so involved I was ready to give Rebecca advice as to what to do next!Again, the author moves into the future at the end of the book to show how well everything turns out.

A really good story
Finally, I've found an Amish story that is well-written, well-edited, and actually contains "romantic tension"! Curl up with a cup of tea or hot chocolate and -- enjoy!

gift for aunt
my aunt is 97 years old and is a reader as I am. This summer I bought her a series of Amish stories, which she loved. Since it is holiday time and this is Amish literature, I ordered it for her. The writing is interesting and the plots are based on values and morals which are similar to those I hold. Refreshing. Nancy
