Parts worked perfect

These Directional Control Devices were exactly what I needed to correct the running-in-circles problem with my MX8 pool vacuum. Though four years old, the vacuum is now running like new, climbing the pool walls to the top and covering every square foot of the pool bottom. These are excellent OEM products at an great price. (By the way, the MX8 is extremely well designed and easy-to-fix - with replacement parts readily available.)One Important Note: when replacing each of the units, make sure both the top and bottom mounting screws are properly aligned and seated, so that the screws can be securely tightened.

This review is for the BARACUDA, MX8, A & B side Direction control devices (transmissions).Was a little worried as the listing also shows totally unrelated items and the price was a little low.What I received seems to be legit and current parts.Both the A and B sides were the newer, BLACK case parts.They ship via USPS and the tracking was a little wonky (USPS's fault) and got the parts in 6 days.I did order on a Friday afternoon so some of that shipping time was just bad timing around the weekend.The listing looks a little shady but they delivered and I am happy.Note; I only included a photo of ONE part as I already installed the other. I did receive TWO parts, both the A & B side.

The picture shows gray parts, but what arrived was black plastic, indicating they are the updated control devices that Zodiac makes.

Instead of tossing my $569 Polaris MAXX Suction-Side Pool Cleaner, I bought these parts and it is running like new. So glad I took the chance. I will buy again once these give out, since that is what tends to happen to these pool cleaners.
