This is an excellent resource for students or beginners.

Very thorough and easy to navigate. Course work for students in questions and problems helps them grasp the concepts.

I needed this textbook for a class so I outright bought it. I am very happy I did as I see this being a handy tool to have on my shelf. The book itself is has a nice layout with small sections accompanied directly by small exercise breaks. This is nice becuase you dont have to get to the end of a long chapter and try to remember what you read at the beginning. Having the sections allows for all the contents to be digested nicely. This book also does a better job teaching the concepts than my professor does. Best text book I have been forced to buy yet.

If you want to brush up on or deepen your skills with argumentation, both in the written and verbal formats, this is definitely the book for you. It is not for an absolute beginner as it assumes some understanding of argument, but it is also not for an expert. It is a very step-by-step approach and contains loads of practice, including sample answers. Great for use in testing yourself but also could be wonderful used in a classroom. It is well worth the price.

This is literally a course in Critical Thinking. It teaches a wide range of subjects in clear concise lessons. After the lesson it givens you problems to apply what you just learned. You can structure your syllabus according to chapters in the syllabus.

Great book for practicing business writing. I have been working through the exercises for a couple of months, which has helped me create a personal framework to analyze work documents from my colleagues. I am now able to give them crisp and straight forward feedback calling out holes in their argument, rather than vague feedback like “this doesn’t sound right”.

I purchased this book to use for a logic/rhetoric homeschool course. With normal use, after three weeks ten pages fell out. From how the glue looks, it looks like more will follow. This book was over $30. I do not recommend this book ONLY because of the cheap publication. The content is FANTASTIC!

This textbook has incredible information and details relative to critical thinking. I do wish it also had incredible binding. It literally started falling apart 2 weeks into my semester with me handling it gently like any other book. If you are able to get this book as an ebook, that might be a better option, because by the end of the semester I quite literally wanted to throw this thing away. It became flyer sheets at that point 🤦🏻‍♀️
