USA Standard Gear(ZK D30-F) Master Overhaul Kit for Dana 30 Front Differential

The set is complete, quality and shipped fast. After over 20 years of buying all manner of things from Amazon, I returned something I had purchased. The issue was I didn’t need anything like a rebuild. The return was deliberate, easy and I was refunded my money in a fluid process that surprised the crap out of me.I know exactly where I will be getting my diff bearing sets from now on.

Came quick works well

My 1985 Toyota pickups diff took a crap, ring and pinion gears and everything. Bought this with a ring and pinion off of summit racing, and did it all myself, was quite fun, and now it all drives really good and quiet again. Parts worked perfectly, and they come with koyo bearings which is a really good brand 🔥

I am happy with this kit and its pricing. The bearings and races were Koyo, a top quality bearing manufacturer. The carrier bearings were USA and the pinion bearings were Japan. The kit came with left hand threaded ring gear bolts, though I didn't use (need) them. It came with several pinion shims and a set of sandwich shims from the carrier bearings. It also came with a differential cover gasket, crush sleeve, thread locker, 1-1/4" pinion nut, a pinion seal, gear marking paint and a brush. It even had a little instruction booklet, but it was pretty general information. It had information about pinion pre-load specs, but from what I found on the internet, the specs provided were on the low side. So check the FSM for what GM has to say on the issue, if you can find one. I found that diluting the paint with one part paint and three parts gear oil worked very well. It was every thing in the picture, plus the gasket. Shipping was priority mail and I had it in three days of ordering. Its a nice, quality kit packaged on a shrink wrap type of blister board so that things don't bang against each other in shipping.

Pinion bearing was too small for my 8.6" GM rear end. Amazon's part selector wasn't right. I ended up using the other bearings just because I didn't have the time to waste waiting on replacement parts.Lasted 4 years about 61k miles before failing. Making a very loud roaring noise just before I took it all apart again. Bearing races are falling apart like paper. Rear end still full of oil. Looks like a defect in the manufacturing process.

This kit worked for my truck. Had all the parts necessary
