When you buy this be prepared to modify it too make it work correctly....!

The media could not be loaded. I have four big problems with this purchase, before I tell them, give you some back ground I am homeless I bought this to put in my shed too keep me warm and my puppy now saying that my problems are 1, one of the legs came with a screw hole way too big for the screw the other three worked just fine if you can say that, the stability is horrible I will show pictures of what I had too do too make it stable. I had too use tape and painter stir sticks to make it stable and I have too use tape too lock in the one leg so it didn't fall. 2, the racks they gave me both sides are broken came that way needs a tac weld, to keep them in place, 3, where the racks meet the stove part I need too take it too a welder to do two seem welds smoke comes right threw it is about 3 inches on both sides, 4, the metal chimney stacks are stuck two pieces together so I have a solid 2 pieces that made out of 4 plus the smoke grat. Then on top of the stove where the chimney meets the smoke stack also needs a 2 inch weld. Because it came with a slight opening, if I didn't need this so bad at this time I would return it the second day I got it. To fix or try too fix it I had too use tin foil, painter stir sticks, and electric tape. I would not recommend it too anyone does it get the job done yeah once you add the modifications. I really wish I didn't need this so bad so I could return it. But -8 in Missouri is not a good time without heat. Then on top of that you have too keep a eye on how hot the chimney getting because it will get dark red like as if I'm a blacksmith and I'm heating metal upto work on. 14 inches is a good size but the entrance only allows maybe a 5 inch log across. What's smokey black and broken? Any one? This wood burning stove. Lol

Works great, compact, awesome price!

The media could not be loaded. Let me start off by saying, I'm new to the camp stove game, but I'm really enjoying this little stove. I haven had any issues with air flow or smoke when burning in this stove. I have burned pine but I mostly use birch wood. Thoses things really get going in this little stove. It is true that the 6 feet of flute segments can become stuck (really stuck) after burning due to build up. This is easily fixed by spraying (when cool) the connections with a tiny bit of WD-40 foam, allow it 1min to loosen the grime between the male/female connection. Then twist lose. Clean with paper towel......BAM!, your ready for your next outing. I'm surprised no one has tried this method yet....it works! Also I use a bubble level to tilt the firebox ever so slightly downward (extendable legs help here) in the front to assist in pulling the smoke away from the door. The air flow does the work, sucking from front (door) to the (flute) in the back. The legs also connect to the firebox via threads that are exposed to ash and heat so tapping those also with WD-40 goes a long way keeping them from getting stuck as well. I hope this helps someone out there because this really is an awesome stove when kept in good condition.

Poor Q.C.

Suffers from lack of air, with the only inlet being the door damper, the back half of it builds a lot of charcoal and doesn't burn logs evenly. Poor build quality the seems leak smoke horribly and fills the whole tent with smoke. Came with a Chimney brush which is nice. Given it's size, expect to process wood into smaller and shorter pieces. Once coals were established could get about an hour to hour and half of fire burning a mix of maple and alder wood. All in all, it's fine if you get it on sale, has adjustable legs and a few accessories which is handy. But be prepared to work a bit harder than other stoves would have you. Recommend for day time use if you're just hanging out in the tent with the door open.

Superb!!

I was excited to get this "little" stove, and it is impressive. I was able to get a fire started fairly quickly. With the small opening it poses a pecular start. Once I got some larger twigs in there it was going along nicely. I was able to boil some water for hot chocolate while I was out there. The fire maintained itself really with the stove pipes drawing the smoke up very well. The stove weight and build is a very good balance. Quality materials were used and everything seemed very machined. The pipes are made with a heavy gauge single wall stainless steel, comes with a flue brush. The legs went on very quickly and seem super stable. The tool for the door worked very well. Using the tool on the damper was good until it was getting hotter. It became hard almost stuck to try to move it. I didnt get a chance to see about adjusting it. I will probably keep it in the most open position as that allowed for an awesome burn and very nice heat. I did not have to drill any additional holes. You will want to quarter small logs mostly for this stove. Twigs worked well and the 3" log did get caught up in the flame after a bit. Great stove, the discriptions on the site are all there and accurate. So know what your buying so you can maximize your joy, hahaha! Great product, I highly recommend! The first picture is day 2!
