Fast pairing.
Worked perfectly for my old flatscreen RCA TV. Pairing was fast and simple.

RCA remote
I really like this remote, easy to program and it actually works. I recommend just do the scan instead of typing in every code. Took about 3 minutes and it was good to go!

A good basic universal remote for a good price
I bought the remote to control a TV, an external DVD for which I lost the remote, and an Apple TV. The remote works correctly for controlling the TV and the DVD player. It fails when trying to control the Apple TV even though there is an Apple code. The remote controls almost all functions of the Apple TV except, as others have reported, the OK button. So while you can browse the Apple TV's menus and listings all you want you cannot select any of them, so this is a big failure of the remote. As for the layout of the remote, most of the keys are of ample size, larger than most remotes and not crowded with unnecessary buttons. However, the arrow buttons and the OK button are smaller and too closely located. Also, it would be better if the device buttons for switching between which device you are controlling we larger. The backlight button stays lit for a short period of time after any button has been pressed but then goes out. After than, if you are watching anything in a darkened room you will have to try to hit the "light" key by luck or memory or press any ket to get the "light" key to backlight, then press it to get the main backlight to turn on. But all that work will be mostly for naught because the backlight only lights up the "Guide" button and the arrow and Ok button in the center of the remote. Overall, this a an ok remote that provides the basic functions of a universal remote without all the over the top but mostly useless features of the more expensive (overpriced) brands. I had to take away a star for lack of support for the Apple TV and for the poor design of the backlight.

I am amazed with this
WOW... I just got this remote.I have a conglomeration of entertainment devices consisting of:1. an 'old' (for me it's new) flat screen RCA that was given to me ...but no original remote. I had an old universal remote that sort-of worked.2. a refurbished OLD dvd/vcr combo unit...with no controls on the box itself and no remote works with it. I have been stuck at the opening credits on anything if I have to choose what I want to do. Opening credits h*ll. No menu options. (Note: putting your face down next to the combo and screaming "PLAY DAMN YOU, PLAY" does not work.)3. a refurbished Roku. So, I had the universal remote for the tv to power on/off with volume control and changing the source, and I have a crappy replacement Roku remote that you basically have to point DIRECTLY at the infra receptor (no slight turn to the left right, up or down is acceptable. It is a cruel master) and as mentioned, nothing for the dvd/vcr combo unit. A useless thing that takes up space, dangerously close to being scrapped. This new remote was it's very last chance.I AM the island of misfit devices. The remote came. I was skeptical. Nothing else had ever worked. The code for the tv worked!! First attempt!! OMG tv WITH features. Then, amazingly...ROKU compatibility!!! Again, first attempt!! I was laughing out loud at each success.and then...first attempt on the combo - The seller here VERY kindly sent me a suggested code when I asked about it- ...I CAN NOW WATCH DVDs!!! I CAN CHOOSE MY OPTIONS. I CAN FINALLY EXERCISE WITH JILLIAN MICHAELS!! (oh... dang...I may not have thought this through properly...)I am sitting in a world of wonder right now.* One remote to rule them all. One remote to bind them. One remote to work them all, and in the couch to find them. *I am thrilled not only with the help of the seller (thank you!!) but also with the ease and excellent results of this remote.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY - KEEP LOOKING!
Well, my TWO RCA 3-device remotes arrived yesterday. I guess it may be my fault for not reading the fine print (joke... nowhere does it say this) but this remote will NOT control any other devices such as a soundbar. The programming buttons are limited to Streaming/Dish/Cable, TV, and DVD/VCR. So just to be VERY clear - if you are not wanting to program these items and ONLY these items - then skip this remote. It would be bad enough if the only issue was with the soundbars (of which I have attached to both TV's I bought these for). But the programming & code book is USELESS. I am the guy that my entire life has been called by my family to set the time on devices, put things together, and program things like remote controls. The BOOK of instructions (will attach photo) is ridiculous. It could have said the exact same thing it says with 1/4th of the words. This makes every instruction tedious to understand (instead of just "push the button until the light comes on", they are "press and hold the device button until the power button comes on then continue holding the device button while punching in the code with your other hand.... if the light flashes....." you get the point. Frankly, it took me 30 minutes of reading & re-reading just to understand what they were telling me to do. I would suspect that all of these folks talking about how "easy" it was to program have never seen an "easy" remote that you can program in 5 seconds. Finally - and this is for those of you with TV's with built in streaming devices..... these WILL NOT WORK on your devices. Both of my TV's are Haier ROKU TV's (with the ROKU built into the TV). There are no codes to operate these TV's. The auto-code search will find a code that will let you do stuff like turn the volume up and down - but none of the other functions. IF YOU ARE BUYING THESE TO USE ON A TV WITH A BUILT-IN STREAMING DEVICE - KEEP LOOKING. These will NOT work. This was $20 wasted. I'm not sure the process for sending these back (of the hundreds of items I have bought on Amazon I have NEVER had to send something back to them), but I will be returning these pieces of crap and spending my money on another brand.. I thought RCA would be a good, reliable brand... clearly I was wrong.
