Gorgeous well made table
This table is even more beautiful in person. The marble is solid as is the construction of the wood. The sculpted edges of the marble and the wood give the table a classic look. My only criticism is the chairs. They are darker than the picture. The fabric is almost a chocolate/beige and the wood is fairly dark as well. The only "cherry finish" is in very bright direct light. It still looks very nice with the table and I was so pleased with the purchase that I bought the matching buffet to go with it.

the picture seems to be pretty accurate. It all depends on lighting
This dining set is made in China even though Steve Silver is an American company. As a result, it has a hand made look, but not a craftsman look. Some things are a little rough - mismatched edge lines, wavy wood surfaces, etc. The top is made with thin pieces of marble laid out in a mold and then back filled with resin. It is then edges are shaped and polished. The thin marble pieces are about 3" X 8.5". The set was well packaged. There were a couple of problems found: a fabric flaw and a leg the was split.I had no problems with the Steve Silver company getting replacements.The initial impression is that the fabric color is darker than the picture, but looking at the real set now, the picture seems to be pretty accurate. It all depends on lighting.Generally, this set is what I was looking for, but wish I had known it as not made in America. I probably would have shopped some more.
