Use primarily with thicker recipes in my Vitamix blender. Perfectly designed for my specific Vitamix blender (Galaxy creations). This tamper allows the user to safely move the blended food smoothly and eliminates air bubbles below the food that can cause a halt in the food from moving within the blender. Don't ever use this tamper without the lid (which has the appropriate size hole to insert the tamper, so that it does not hit the blades.) Given that it is just hollow plastic, there could be a risk of it splitting due to extreme use, but it does the job its meant for. I believe a tamper is a must have for anyone who has a high powered blender.

Perfect replacement for a tamper I lost in cat 5 hurricane destruction of my home…yes, the vitamin blender still works ! Just make sure to order the tamper for the correct model vitamin…there are 2 different lengths

Great addition to my vitamix! Useful when blending things like peanut butter or thicker smoothies and batters.Easy to use, easy to install and remove, and there is very little splash out. The length was perfect for my VM0102D blender. The plastic is thick and softer, not likely to crack.

I’m glad to find this tamper since ours broke. It seems to be sturdy and it works well. I’ve been using it a lot and it still looks like new. I always hand wash it to keep the color fresh and shiny

Accidentally ruined the original one that came with my vitamix by getting it caught in the blender so had to throw everything away including the smoothie that was being made! Found this here and bought it and it's perfect. It has the vitamix logo too.Tip: Make sure yours need the low profile one before buying this!
