I only write reviews for products that I really feel strongly about. I really love this desk -- it also folds down into a table. I agree with others that the packaging was not the best -- if you live alone in an apartment building, I suggest that you unpack the box and move the pieces into your home individually, otherwise you're going to hurt yourself because the box was very heavy and awkward. I ordered the oak color, and it is true to the picture displayed online. Great quality and nice finish, very akin to pieces at Pottery Barn. I am also not a master builder, and this piece was very easy to assemble (Just make sure you look at the picture carefully, and note where the holes are on each of the pieces). I love the height of the desk - it's very hard to find desks that are tall AND wide. I'm 5'7 and this desk is perfect for me. The drawers are a nice touch, too. Overall, great desk for the price and and excellent investment!

Shipped in really sturdy packaging. It was a breeze to put together; just install the legs and you're ready to go. It was a little awkward working on it upside down and then having to flip it over with the slide-out tray and fold down sliding everywhere but it looks great! It's worth noting that this is not a perfect piece of furniture. Paint is slightly off in certain areas and the wood trims can have uneven grooves but it doesn't bother me because it's in a dark location. My sliding tray is uneven - one side pulls out longer than the other which is kind of a pain if you're OCD. Looking under, it seems they applied the bracket unevenly which causes different stopping points. Not sure if I'm willing to dismantle it to fix 1" of difference.I do think it's slightly overpriced. The primary reason why I chose this was because it was the exact width I was looking for to fill an empty corner in my entryway. It's a good piece to keep mail, keys, and small accessories. A little more than I would have liked to pay but overall, I'm satisfied.Also worth noting, there was a lot of little foam fibers all over it out of the package. It was a nuisance because they were all over me when I was done and felt like little thorns - had to wipe the whole unit down and myself.

My niece was able to assemble this herself in record time - although she noted it was extremely heavy. The drawers arepre -assembled ( which is partially the reason I selected it ) and once the legs are on it is very solid and sturdy-exactly what she wanted for her space. As shown, she requires a lot of computer equipment for her work and this accommodates that easily. After an almost endless search, I think I made the right choice.

Very cute desk. I like the color, size, & overall style. It's a little taller than I anticipated, but that's my fault for not measuring. It's not a big deal & I still like the desk.I am, however, a bit disappointed in the quality. I have a Safavieh rug that I love & expected the same quality from this piece. The desk arrived well packaged (box had some minor damage to the corners, but nothing significant). When I opened it & begun assembling the desk, I noticed that several of the pieces had dents in them, nicks, uneven paint/drips, etc. (not caused by shipping, as the affected pieces were packed securely in the box). I believe the issues occured during production & were missed by quality control.The cross bar at the bottom is also misaligned with the pre-drilled holes in the desk legs, so I had a heck of a time trying to tighten it into place. Now that it's all assembled, the lower crossbar is noticeably uneven (& also has two visible dents/nicks), but I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it. For $200, it's a decent value, but not quite what I hoped for.

My kids could have done a better job of painting this desk. It is solid wood and the quality of the build is good, but we ordered the black desk and the paint job is terrible. There are streaks, chips, and drip marks everywhere, and the desk is covered in dull spots where it looks like it was touched before the paint was dry. There is also a corner of the desk that is chipped off like it might have been dropped. It was really well packaged though, so that had to have happened pre-shipping. This desk might be ok in the natural wood finish, but I wouldn't recommend buying one of the painted options.
