It was the perfect size for a smallmouth day trip. I love it.

If you don’t need a lot of gear, this is a perfect solution. I’m using it for beach fishing for snook so don’t need a lot of stuff.

Carries everything you need for a short day on the water. I've had 6 120 fly boxes in it and they all fit. And it will slide around back when adjusted right. Plus all fishpond packs are made from recycled fish nets so they save the environment. All my packs are fishpond. Great company!!!!

This is a great little chest pack. Sure, there could be a few more things on it, like pockets, bigger overall and such. However, it's small enough, that fully loaded, it fits in the outside pouch of my Osprey 32L hiking pack. So I don't have to wear this while I'm hiking, which indeed makes you hotter. It has plenty of space on the fly tray for all the flies (20 or so) I will need for the specific are I'm hiking to. The main pouch has plenty of room for the majority of necessities, like hemostat, nippers, extra tippet, a float spray, readers, etc. I will say I only dry fly fish. It may be cramped if you're taking all the stuff for Nymphing, but for my purposes, it has filled the need nicely.

I have been using this chest pack for a month now for several fishing outings. I am very happy with the construction, fit, comfort, and versatility. I especially like the neck loop for attaching a fishing net. It is small, so if you are going to purchase it, be aware that it will hold only one good sized fly box or a couple of small fly boxes. It does have several attachment points for zingers, a tippet holder, or other small gear. I highly recommend it for day trips or backpacking type fishing.

As a beginner fly fishing, this is a great pack to hike all the necessities for being on a river. It's okay for comfort, I wear as a sling, so the neck padding doesn't quite cover my neck. Wish it had a water bottle holder also. Despite those two items. I think it's just as good as the high end packs.
