Perfect fit for my 2011 GMC Terrain
I wasn't getting a check engine light but I noticed the gas cap on my 2011 Terrain was acting weird and not "clicking" like it should. Installed the new OEM cap and problem solved, the cap seats and clicks like when the car was new. Removing the tether on the old cap was fairly easy, just use a pair of need nose pliers and slow start fatiguing the plastic on the old tether by gently working it back and forth until it starts releasing. You will probably ruin the tether on the old one removing it, but it doesn't matter since you are replacing it. The new one will just snap it. Whole process took maybe five minutes.

When you fail emissions, do the easy things first.
My 94 year old father-in-law failed emissions on a car he rarely drives. The family went nuts trying to figure out how to fix it.I took a look and saw that the ring on the old cap was gone. I spent $18 bucks and saved my FIL over $300 as estimated by my idiot brother-In-law’s mechanic. You know the “ I got a guy” type. I’m getting irritated just thinking about it. None of these guys even own tools…what the hell! I still don’t know why he still owns a car, he doesn’t have a license….Oh yeah, a great replacement cap for OEM stuff.

Stopped rain and carwash water out of the gas tank. I don't understand why it has an antenna...the radio doesn't play any better.

Fits as expected
Does what's it's intended to do. I bought it hoping it would clear my EVAP code P0442, unfortunately, I have another issue to clear the permanent code.
