Kings and Queens of England Coloring Book (Dover World History Coloring Books) Paperback – Coloring Book, August 23, 2005

This is a great supplement to your child's history lessons. They can color the appropriate king/queen as you read-aloud to them. The images are detailed and interesting, and brief descriptions of the king/queen are given as well as the dates of their reign.Not all kings/queens are included, however. This book begins with King Alfred the Great. Not included: King William II, King Stephen, Edward II, Richard II, Henry IV, Edward IV, Edward V, Henry VII, Edward VI, Jane Grey, James II, George II, William IV, and Edward VIII.

I love the Tudor era and English history and I love reading about the English kings and queens plus the illustrations are easy and fun to color.

My kids are learning about UK history and thoroughly enjoy this coloring book.Nice addition to learning.

This is a nice supplement to Island Story readings. Realistic pictures, and the brief written description of the monarch is a nice summary. A bonus for me was that the descriptions included our favorite facts/memories about King Alfred and King Canut.

The Dover History coloring books are not your average coloring book. Filled with detailed historical descriptions as well as beautiful pencil drawings, they are a great supplement to any overview of history. This volume glances through British history with a look at the great kings and queens of the past and present. It is a worthy academic resource for younger students, not just an artistic amusement.

My mom loves to color, especially clothing, and I purchased this as a gift for her. The illustrations have a lot of detail and are lovely. Good selection of different types of costumes from this time period. Dover produces some nice historically accurate coloring books, and this one did not fail to impress. She loved it.

I really like the for my daughter. And we really like it, but it's missing King Edward the IV, even though he's mentioned on previous page of where he should be. Kinda weird that he's not included as everyone else is...?Edit- there are multiple kings missing, so I guess it's not a full lineage.

Purchased as a gift for an English history enthusiast who needs art relaxation therapy. Was much enjoyed by the recipient. She like the detail, and the descriptions. The cost was fair, item arrived in time.
