The Goodnight Train Board Book: A Soothing Adventure to Bedtime on the Goodnight Train

My kids love this book. They especially love the visuals. Honestly, I might enjoy the book more than they do!

Been reading this book to my grandchildren for 13 yrs, starting with the oldest down to number 6 who just turned one !!

This book has super cute artwork and a cute story line for bedtime for those kids who are into trains. My son now requests this book before every nap and night time sleep. The board book style is wonderful so he doesn't rip the pages as well. Great product!

This is one of our family favorites! Such a cute story, beautiful illustrations, great for teaching rhyme, and a cozy way to relax with kids before bed! Appropriate for kids of all ages!

We LOVE this book! My son picks it out every single night. It took me a couple of days to get into a flow of reading the book 📕 just because I try to make it come alive as much as possible for him, but that’s just a personal defect and nothing to do with the actual book itself. It’s the perfect length for a three year old to keep his attention.

My 18 month old daughter really adores this book. She calls it the "Choo Choo" book and already starts requesting it as soon as we are drying off post bath.The illustrations are beautiful and the story rhymes well. It has an easy-to-read cadence about it, and I think the best parts (both her favorite, and mine!) are the sound effects: "clickety-clack", "huff-a-puff-a! choo! choo!", "Rock-a rock-a shhhh! shhhh!", "Scrub-a-dub toot toot!".The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is one page, right in the middle of the book, that does not have any story lines on it to read. This really bothers me! Like I said, the book is very rhythmic and easy to read. This page messes up my flow. It's an illustration that does have 2 signs on it, but the signs don't contribute to the story, nor do they rhyme or flow along with the cadence of the rest of the book. I wish they skipped this blank page. It's pointless and annoying!

I bought this book as a christmas gift for a little girl I nanny for. Shes almost 2 years old and adores books.PROS:Story - the story is very easy to follow, it's basically about a train that's taking children off to sleep, theres a lot of rhyming and sounds words which is great as young children find this easy to repeat. The child seems to really enjoy reading the book. Simple enough for an almost 2yo to comprehend.Illustrations - theres so much to look at on each page, it's good to stop on the page and ask the child to point certain things out, extremely visually stimulating and educating if you want it to be!Durability - the book is thick and rather heavy, it's been thrown AT me and on the floor to read on many occasions and it never seems to bend or take a dent. The spine would probably take some damage if excessively chewed on but not overly so where the pages would fall out. It's also easy to clean any sticky finger marks.Price - the price is fair for the quality of the book. Every child is different of course but the amount of times I've read this book justifies it. The material, story and enjoyment are all worth the price.CONS:Theres only so many times I can ready choo choo and not go to bed with having it constantly play in my mind. Personally, I've read this about 5x in a row so I'm sick of it. That could also be a pro I guess.

I’m so so so happy I bought this book. My toddler can be difficult to put down at night as some of the stories we read are too exciting, but this book with the rhymes and images almost put him into a trance and he’s absolutely ready for bed. Early days but I think I will be reading this book every night!

Livre en anglais. Ma fille de 3 ans et mon fils de 1 an adorent ce livre et aiment répéter les bruits du train "choooo choooo"!... Le livre a de jolies images avec pleins d'éléments, ma fille aime les regarder et repérer les petits éléments du quotidien comme la baignoire, les cookies, la brosse à dents etc.. qui sont joliment intégrés.
