Update 1 year.

1 year Update (20,000 miles later)Its been nearly a year and 20,000 miles since i installed rev 9 FMIC. Best bang bar none.performs exceptionally, did annyal inspections of grommets, elbows, fins, ect. No degredatio to any of the pvc grommet, tnuts still tight as the day i installed them. All bracket moubting point l, and welds, are flawlessTested in both winter and summer no matter the ambient temps. It will not go above 10°ambients temps. When doing some WOT PULLS. CASUAL DRIVING WILL STAY AT ABOUT 5° ABOVE AMBIENT TEMPS.Track days saw as much as 15 to 20 degress above ambient. Not an exact bolt on as the bottom brackets of the intercooler dont exactly line up. simple fix running a flat joint (home depot) from bracket to bumper guard. Took me all of ten minutes. top bracket lined up perfectly.Note; that you can skip mounting the bottom side if desired. Because once all the pipes are installed and tightend it holds it in place and behaves like a mount.Hot pipe isnt exacly shaped well. And misses the back bracket bolt by a hair. Lines up just fine in the front mount bracket. None the less its a sturdy hold.Maf sensor hole is bigger than stock screw. I Believe its an m6 screw. Always have bolt laying around. Simple switch. Maf sensor fits perfectly and on the correct sideElbows and gromments look and feel of good quality. This set came with t nut bands over the stock screw band.On the stock setup, Theirs a joint from the throttle body that goes to a reducer. (Cold side) This has to be removed. Along with reducer. The new pipe doesnt require the reducer to be in place and completely eliminates it. Remove everything from the throttle body out. Then add the cold side pipe.cold side pipe has a bracket mount that isnt needed. And gets in the way of mounting it. I Simply cut it off.No intructions needed its fairly straight forward. Docked a star simple because the the bottom brackets dont line upAnd the hot side pipe isnt a 100 percent exact bend. That being said, all still fits and lines up well. Dont tighten anything up until all pipes are connected. Makes connecting opposite pieces easier and allows for the elbows to be moved and twisted for a proper fit.Overall im very happy And really was an easy install.Prior to install a couple of pulls on my way to work on an average 30 degree weather would get me upto about 60 degrees. With the new install and driving condition temps didnt go above 40 degress. So its definitely running alot cooler.I will have to report back here to make an update on how it performs in the summer.Overll its a great product minus the kinks. But nothing where major modifications need to done.

DIY Ford Fusion 2.0L 2016 angle grinder required

Fits on ford fusion 2016 2.0L titanium fwd had to shave off mounts of bottom pipe did not use pipe elbow that connects into throttle body because of vacuum line plug in is not on pipe but given that it's designed for focus st I don't complain since they have the same engine but one has a manual transmission and the other is automatic THIS KIT IS NOT DESIGNED FOR A FORD FUSION !!! BUT IT WILL WORK !!! BETTER THROTTLE RESPONSE CARS ACCELERATION IS MUCH FASTER THROWS YOU BACK

Will have to modify to fit

Fitment is not good will have to make a lot of adjustments from intercooler mounting to charge pipes, however not hard to modify to make it fit. My only concern is maf sensor I have not done a smoke test but I don’t like the Fitment of it. So far after driving 1200 miles have no issues way better than oem

Charge pipes do not fit. Product does not work heavy modification cut weld to make work do not buy.

Charge pipes do not fit heavy modification would be needed to make work. intercooler top brackets are not set in location that inlet/outlet center around radiator to put on. charge pipes far askew to the passenger side makes driver side polyurethane fitting impossible to get on do not buy this product. Minor modification could make intercooler work but you may compromise the intercooler cut/ relocate mounting brackets. Do not buy this product.

Great kit! A few small mods but super easy.

This intercooler kit is pretty good quality, took me a few hours and a few tiny mods to get it done. I been researching about this fmic kit brand for quite some time and I found that most people had bad experience installing it due to not being a direct bolt on & have to do some modifications to get it working. Being a hands on type of guy I’m not afraid to do little work on it. One thing I read about it is that the charge pipes don’t line up so the first thing I did was to install all the pipes, everything line up perfectly besides this one mounting brackets not lining up but all I had to do is use my pliers and bend it to make it fit, super easy. Then I started to switch my maf sensor to the new intercooler, I also read that the stock screw to hold it in it’s too small and have to find a bigger screw. Funny enough I found the perfect screw laying around in my garage so that was simple, if I didn’t have that screw my best bet is to go to Home Depot and buy one and I guarantee I would find one. Next thing I notice is the o-ring on the sensor was too small for the hole so I just end up going to harbor freight and pick up a box of o-rings which cost me around $10, I kept the o-ring on the sensor and I added a o-ring that’s a little bit bigger. Big enough to fit in the intercooler but not big enough to fall of the maf sensor. Manage to to install that without any trouble and it’s seal tight!. Then I when I was trying to install the intercooler itself I notice that the bottom bracket line up well but the top bracket didn’t, I end up going to Home Depot and picking up a piece of aluminum, cut to length with a angle grinder & bolt it to the intercooler and then bolt it up to the two small holes that has a plastic housing in them it was super simple to do I wasn’t even mad about it. I been driving for almost a month now and everything is working great! Nothing came apart everything is sturdy. I’m getting amazing air temps from the logs on my Cobb accessport and it sounds amazing!. If you are on a budget and don’t mind doing what I did which it wasn’t hard at all I would say the hardest part is taking apart the front end and piping then I would say buy it!
