I bought this as a gift as my son's mad on Minecraft. It was well packaged and looks good, however it is much smaller than I thought it would be.

This is perfect for a minecraft fan though I am not sure you could say its value for money. Its smaller than it appears on the photos its probably about the size of a large coffee or tea mug. The construction is of a rather cheap plastic (Dont expect this to last for years to come) It comes in a nice enough little box I do think this would be a perfect stocking filler for Christmas or a gift for a friend at a birthday party.So those are the negatives what about the positives? It takes 2 AAA batteries (not included) to open the hatch you will need a screwdriver to do so but its easy enough. The light is not the brightest in the world to say the least it barely fills the entire lamps face as the light is clearly placed towards the bottom. The figure is nice enough though and is fun. I will probably buy a few as mine are minecraft mad so they will love this and the light because its not really bright will make a good night light for them. Buy a few of them and they will look great on a shelf or by the computer while they play their games and probably save a bit on electricity as you will only need a couple of rechargable batteries.The price is a bit steep in my opinion even on sale but I suppose thats what you pay for the latest gimmick. I cant say I am too disappointed it is what it is. I think its good fun.

I brought this for a birthday present for an 8 year old, very well liked and as part of a collection, helps with future gifts.

The lamp is small, it's more like a gadget. Doesn't gives much light, works only as a night lamp only to give little bit of lumen in the room

It is smaller then I expected and it doesn't like up as bright as I thought it would. My son still loves it though.
