Enjoy Eating Meals With Your Pup
This is a great beginning book for people who want to home-cook for their dog. The recipes are easy and contain healthy ingredients that you can eat right along with your dog. There are sections on what nutrients and vitamins your dog needs, the pros and cons of commercial foods, what not to feed your dog, portion control, and more. The layout of the booko is engaging, with bright colors and lots of white space. Recipes are divided into treats, broths, meaty mains, and extras. I have already used a few recipes and find them super simple, and of course, my dogs gulped them right up!

Amazing recipe book
This recipe book is awesome. Recipes are very well explained. Author has a ton of knowledge regarding dogs & diets. My Bubba has thus far enjoyed every recipe I've made. And every recipe can be consumed by me as well. He & I snack on the cookies while walking. Made with All natural ingredients, I know every single item he consumes. Cheaper in the long run than processed dog foods that are full of preservatives as well as by products. I really enjoy cooking for Bubba. Author also lists information regarding what foods are not safe for dogs to eat. Calories, protein & carbs are listed for each recipe. This is such an informative book. Thank you Scott for writing such an amazing recipe book.

Love this book but ...
Love the recipes and easy to understand directions. See no place for questions. Can you freeze these meals that contain rice and potatoes?

My pups love all the recipes
My pups and I absolutely love all the recipes. They love them because they are tasty and nutritious. I love them because the recipes are super easy to make and don’t take a lot of time. I would recommend you also add supplements with their diet. The book has recipes for treats, meals, broths, etc. it also provides serving recommendations and lots of tips. This really helped me in my journey to feeding my fur babies non processed food. We love it!

Some inconsistencies
Some very nice recipes but... the are contradictions in the recipes. For instance the above recipe calls for 3-3½ C of whole wheat flour. Yet the directions say "no more than ½ C whole wheat flour".The book says do Not feed Kale to your dog. Can cause Kidney stones and Bladder problems... (I appreciate including "why" not to add an item), later there is a recipe that includes 2 Cups Kale destemed. Also, no mention of how bad sugar is for our dogs yet, no mention of all the Sugar and Salt in peanutbutter and several treat recipes call for peanutbutter. However, there are several really good recipes. I'll definitely be including more peas and butternut squash in my homemade recipes!!!

My Doberman
My pet relishes the meal times now. Earlier he would simply be moody and turn away. All we've got to do now is open the lid

Very easy to follow and cook tasty meals for dogs.
Recipes used easy to obtain ingredients that are safe for dogs to eat, are very tasty (not a dish refused so far, unlike previously when using manufactured, shop bought dog food). The book contains a list of foods that are toxic to dogs (not fully comprehensive but had important ‘never feed’ foodstuff) . Additionally, these are also human friendly so you can choose to eat some with your dog. (Or, not!)The only rider to add is that this is an American author who uses the American phraseology and system of cup full or half cups of ingredients and the imperial system of units. However, accurate cookery ‘cup’ measures I already have and my butcher uses Imperial system .Some ingredients I have found difficult to source (eg cranberries that are not freeze dried but frozen ) Otherwise I am impressed with how much my dogs enjoy this food, and I just leave a cup of kibble in a dish for any dog that wants a bit of supplementation. Obviously there are times when I need to give the dogs some kibble based meals but I really like the advice to cook meats rather than give defrosted raw meat.

Good value meals for dogs
Easy to use and easy to substitute foods that aren’t available here in England as the book is American. For example, instead of pumpkin puree you can use sweet potatoes.I use it as a substitute for wet dog food, or mix it half and half with her wet food. This means I can use wet food when I do t have time to make meals, however they’re quite easy to make
