Q: What are the ingredients?

And plastic. Much more "organic" plastic than my plants are compatible with. I have live plants, not plastic ones.

Q: I am going to order this, based on the comments. Regarding the bug issue, when I purchase used clothing from second-hand stores, I put the whole bag in the freezer, which you could also do with this soil, for overnight. Should kill everything alive.

Putting soil in the freezer may not kill off all bugs. Some will go into a dormant state and will be reanimated once their body's heat back up (I know from experience). If you do still put it in the freezer and it's really hot where you live, be careful of mold growing if you leave it inside the bag. Condensation will build up inside due to the difference in temperature inside and outside the bag.

Q: Do we put this under a layer of soil or to put charcoal under this or just use this? I'm potting my succulents in a pot without drainage.

Just use this. This instead of another potting soil. But better to find one without peat moss in it!

Q: whats the life of this bag of soil? I have a half of bag left that i brought 2 years ago. Is it still good to use now?

That depends on how it was stored. Was it tightly sealed with extra air pressed out? Was it kept in dry, semi-dark/dark location and not full sun. If so yes, but you might want to spread it out on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 for half an hour to get rid of things that grow that shouldn't. It won't be as nutrient rich as when new but it could be used as a base with newer soil added.

A little goes a long way

I have over 20 succulent plants in separate pots, all were shipped recently and meeting potting. This succulent soil mix is high-quality, good blend of Materials to let moisture run through quickly. It is definitely messy when you are putting, but my succulents are very happy. A little of this mix goes a long way, you don't need much for little succulent roots. Nice value for this bag.

Dirt appearance the same as other brand I have purchased

I was expecting a larger bag I guess. I just opened the bag to start making more plants with cuttings and I’m sure it will be fine.

Only type I use for thanksgiving cactus.

This soild works great for thanksgiving cactus. Seems to always be bug and mold free, nice and dry. My plants stay healthy and happy and grow a ton when transferred. Great value.
