KidKraft Wooden Cupcake Stand with Cupcakes, Gift for Ages 3+

First of all, as a note, the description on this product says there are 5 cupcakes in the set, while some pictures show 6 cupcakes. The set we ordered did indeed have 6 cupcakes, along with the pink tier. While I obviously can't guarantee that you will get 6 instead of 5, we were fortunate enough to receive 6.As for the cupcakes themselves, they are very beautiful. The colors are a little softer than some of the other sets we have purchased for my daughter's bakery-themed playroom, but they are still bright, and of a high-quality finish. The sturdy wood is sanded smooth to the touch, and they feel great in your hand!The tops can be mixed and matched with the bottoms, although there are duplicate patterns and colors instead of all 12 pieces being unique. There isn't a velcro or magnetic attachment, the top pieces just rest into a recess in the bottom pieces. Personally, we prefer them this way because they are prettier, they will last longer, and it's easier and more fun for my daughter to take them apart while she's pretending to bake and eat them.These cupcakes are the perfect size. Not too big, but definitely not too small. I've included pictures* for your size reference comparing the cupcakes to a quarter, and again to a full-sized Build-a-Bear stuffed animal. You'll see that this set is a great size for kids to pretend with each other, or even for kids to use with 18 inch dolls or similarly sized stuffed animals. The possibilities for fun and creative pretend play are limitless!The tier comes in a few pieces with a couple of screws. Two minutes worth of assembly with a simple screwdriver and you're in business! The tier is sturdy and can withstand quite a bit of play. After 5 months so far, ours still looks brand new!This is a great set. Most Kidkraft products are outstanding quality and an excellent value for your investment. This is definitely a toy that will last a while, and one your child is likely to enjoy through many years of creative play opportunities!*Pardon the two missing tops in the photos. My daughter asked Santa for a 'happy birthday cake' for Christmas, and this seemed to make her more than happy. Good thing since I'd already bought it before she made her unusual request. I took off one star for the way the stand is (intentionally?) designed causing the bottom plate to be at a slope. Maybe ours is defective, but the photo seems to be at a slight angle. It seems strange to me, but doesn't seem to bother my daughter at all. So I am not going to the hassle of replacing it. I noticed several people had difficulty putting it together. Just don't have the pink sleeve over the unfinished dowel when you screw the top plate on. I don't know why the instructions say to do that. Then put on the sleeve, bottom plate and stand, and insert the bottom screw. Went together with no problem.

We ordered these for our daughter's fourth birthday, as she had been discussing her dreams of opening a cupcake shop when she grew up. Great appeal, easy assembly (one or two screws), holds up well to use from a four year old and two year old. Some other brands connected the tops with hook and loop (Velcro) or magnets. This is simply a shallow wooden peg relying on gravity, which has pros and cons. Pros - I don't see these attached to my refrigerator or other metal household items via a magnet, and fabrics are not "picked" by hook and loop tape. Cons - More prone to various cupcake parts lying around rather than staying together. Happy with this. Would order again.

I thought they would be bigger, a more lifelike size, but that being said with two little ones and the fact they they are solid wood any bigger and they could become dangerous if thrown or dropped. Other than that this is a great product and will last for a long time. The tops come off and they can create new cupcake variations, Great for a little imaginations at play.

Cute, but just okay. Cupcakes are a little smaller then I had expected, but they seem to be just fine for my 3 year old. The frame is flimsy, my husband used his handyman skills to reinforce it so it should hold up. The paint on top of the cupcakes are flawed and below standard compared to most of our other Melissa and Doug products. It's cute though, my daughter smiled and giggled as daddy handed it to her. So we are happy.

It's super cute & my three year old loves it for pretend tea parties. I had a hard time with the screws--they just spun until I took out a second screwdriver to hold the bottom screw still until the top was tight. It was a bit of a balancing act/ was not part of the directions.

Very cute. The stand is very small and kind of a pain to get together even though it’s small.... our daughter loves it tho

I wanted to really like this for my little girl. But when I got it, it’s a little smaller then I thought it would be. And my little cake tier stand is not straight. The bottom tier is crooked. So I had to rig it up to make it work.

sehr schöne Farben und Formen. Auch die Möglichkeit, die Muffins umzugestalten ist super.Allerdings war der Aufbau des Ständers eine Qual: die Schrauben passten nicht gut in die vorgebohrten Löcher und der Ständer hat sich dauernd mitgedreht, sodass er nur sehr schwer zusammenzubauen war. Hat nach gefühlter Ewigkeit dann endlich funktioniert.Aber ansonsten super toll.

Little small but granddaughter loves them. Like the ability to change toppings and the stand is a wonderful addition to display the cupcakes.

Sehr süß und einfach, allerdings etwas teuerDie Cupcakes hatte kleine Beschädigungen die wir aber hinnehmen mussten weil Weihnachten vor der Türe stand. Es kommen beim Spielen auch noch weitere Makel dazu, von daher nicht schlimm aber der Preis ist doch etwas zu hoch dafür.Die Einzelteile der Cupcakes haben wir auch aneinander geklebt weil sonst fliegen sie rum;-)

bellissimo! colori vivaci, struttura solida, fantasia bellissima...potrebbe essere usato anche solo per bellezza! le bambine lo hanno molto gradito ...
