Fashion: Treasures of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (Tiny Folio)

First of all, I want to add that the MFA costume collection is WONDERFUL and that should be alone the main reason to buy this book, regardless of its small format. Personally, I don't have a problem with the size of the book, because I have many coffee table books loaded with images of the same small size surrounded by large blank spaces (a thing that irritates me greatly) at least in this book you can find zoom-in images of some of the costumes featured, plus a couple fashion accesories, portrait paintings and fashion plates related to that specific costume or historic era. My only complaint is the print quality of the images which could be sharper.

Sweet small book packed with wonderful fashion history & details. A must for any coffee book collector to add this beauty of a book to their stack, like a cherry on top!

Great photos. Tiny tiny book

What a way to spend a pleasurable few hours. The MFA has an astonishing collection, the gems of which are shown here. Bear in mind that this is a physically tiny book, it packs a big punch. Stunning photography.

The content looks interesting, but it's a tiny, tiny book. Have I mentioned that it's tiny? You need both hands to keep the book open enough to look at the entire fashion plates. Ridiculous!

This would be a first cless book: if it were bigger. It's tiny!! It's not a thin book, there is plenty of excellent content: beautiful photos of dresses, shoes etc. A really lovely book but it's no bigger than the palm of my hand!!! I have good eyesight but for this book to be of any use I had to get a magnifing glass out and it was just a pain!! Because the book is so small but has a thick spine, you can't really get the book to lay flat at all, so the photos disappear into the fold. If only this had been A4 size!!!There were couture dresses that I had not seen before and I so would have loved this book had I been able to look closely at them. Reluctantly it was returned Would happily paid 3x more for it to be bigger.
