Poor quality for such a high price
The engine arrived with the center rail contact loose in the box. The small bolt that held it was missing. I found the nut in the grease of the worm gear inside the engine. The loose contact should have been noted when the engine was removed from the packaging to write the date of the sale on the bottom of the engine. I paid a premium price for this engine. Seller Ippy's Hobby is not recommended.

Train arrived damaged/broken pieces not installed.
Not the quality I was expecting from Lionel or for the price paid. The engine arrived broken out of the box. When I unboxed the train and took it out the motor assembly was halfway falling out and screws fell out. Also the train only came with one of the rubber rings on the wheel. Not a huge deal as I can add the other myself, but I expect a brand new item to come completely ready to run. Will be contacting Lionel for a replacement.

NOt sure what was wrong but it didnt work
Product was beautiful but it didnt work. I exchanged it 3 times and all had the same issue. Power would shut off after srtarting instantly.

Arrived Poorly Constructed
I recieved Diesel poorly constructed. The wheels that connect with the third rail fell off as soon as I took the engine out of the box. A pin was missing and nothing was holding the axle with these wheels securely. From what I understand, another customer recieved an engine in the exact same condition.

This was a complete piece of junk. I have spent so much money on Thomas and Friends for my child and you made this cheap piece? Wise up!!

Extreamly wonderful train!!
I realy like that the engine is quite sturdy, a little cheep of course, but it is very sturdy non-the-less. I do have one thing to say about the lack of Thomas & Friends items lionel has in stock, I realy hope lionel can sell more of that stuff again and keep the REAL Thomas legacy going!
