Urbanest Set of 2 Swing Arm Rods, 3/4-inch Diameter, 14-inch to 24-inch, Black

I ordered these because I have a couple narrow crank-out windows. I needed something that could allow the curtain to be moved out of the way when cranking window open/closed, or for emergency exit in a fire. These are very sturdy and look nice. My issue is that the rod slopes upward a bit from hinged end to knobbed end so curtain hangs a fraction higher on one side, and my curtain slips down over the curve in the rod (on the hinged end). I added a rubberband at that end to provide resistance against slipping...

First - go and buy some new screws. It will cost you less than a drive through lunch and ensure you don't have broken off screws in your wooden door when you overload the swing arms and extend them out as far as they can go.I installed these on our interior office doors and they look great and work well. We do not have a need to extend the arms out, so I can't speak to how well they hold up when you load them up with heavy curtains and elongate the arms. I can say that with heavy cotton drapes and the arms fully collapsed, these are exactly what I wanted. They have not sagged, nor do they appear to be straining the fasteners. I bought the largest screws that the swing arm brackets and my door thickness would accept just to make sure I didn't run into issues like some of the other reviewers experienced.

Liked that they are larger than expected and they serve a purpose but are not very glamorous at all. They are OK but not great!!! They do not have a very even smooth finish to them; they do not hang properly so we had to twist them a bit at an angle to have the rods be straight out and not bend downward; the tightening screws are so tiny we lost one i mmediately as they are very hard to grip; for the price they are good.

The swing arms work well at our bow windows. The only thing is they don’t always stay straight when you install them. Some of ours, (we have 9 of these at 2 large bow windows) drop some when opened to see out.

These were a perfect addition to my long row of windows without having to put a rod across the entire thing. It gave a pip of color to each side. Only draw back is the way they attach to the wall leaves kind of a funny space .

I really like this concept, but it did not meet my expectations.I like perfect. They were so time consuming to install, I left them.They are covering my wash/dryer; not in my living quarters.Still going to address this and try to straighten these.
