This tea kettle gets 5 stars on the basis of beauty alone. It was just what my kitchen needed. It looks better than the pictures. As a teakettle, it is very sturdy and has a loud whistle. However, the handle and the spout get VERY hot. There is no way to open the spout without touching it. You need to first open the spout with a potholder and then also use the potholder to pick it up by the handle. I didn’t find this difficult once I got used to it but almost burned myself at first.

When I ordered this I did because of the cheery cherry pattern...and I am delighted with the product. Colors are vibrant, kettle is sturdy and large enough, whistle works well. I do not find the handle getting hot, but the cover on the spout (which needs lifting to pour) does get hot, so use a potholder to open it.

I loved this! My kitchen has Cherries and my old tea Kettle was worn out- I decided to replace with this! I would say it is heavy- so if you are ok with that or don’t mind, it is sturdy. However the metal cap that covers the spout gets extremely hot with it being metal- I wish it would have been made out of plastic or something like my old kettle. I have to immediately remove from burner and let set for several seconds or will use a silicone wrap to open the spout. I would recommend being careful because the pot with tea bags and liquid is a bit heavy so the handle has come a bit loose- I bc would not fill up more than half way. For the price I feel like it could have been made bit better. But because it’s so pretty it is what it is. I am not in love with it but I don’t not like it. That is why I give 3 stars. Def room for improvement.

This made a great gift! It came in an impressive, sturdy box. A lovely piece at a competitive price! Works just as any other standard tea kettle - no fuss, no muss.The only downfall, leading me to 4 stars rather than 5, is the metal cap on the spout - it gets very hot as the water boils and there is no silicone/etc. to shield you when you are ready to pour. You must have a pot holder or dish towel handy to prop it open. (Which isn't really a big deal, just an inconvenience to note)
