365 Designs: Cross Stitch All Through the Year Paperback – January 1, 1995

First, the seller was a pleasure to deal with, thank you. This book is an excellent collection of little motifs for any season. Simple to stitch but detailed enough to be pretty. I had a copy years ago and used it to pieces, I was pleased to be able to replace it. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes to give little gifts.

I wish I had found this book many years ago. It has all I need for great ideas for patterns to put on sweatshirts and T-shirts. All patterns are very easy to follow and there are few, if any, half or quarter stitches. Any back stitches only enhances the design.

I have used this several times for montifs on baby bibs. The families really enjoyed the gift with this special touch.

This book is made up of small designs and motif. It is divided into seasonal chapters. Many of the designs are versatile enough to be used throughout the year. There is also an index by design subject to make it easy to find the motif you're looking for. Unfortunately, the index is on page 8, rather than at the back of the book where you'd expect to find an index.Each seasonal section of the book begins with full color photos of each design printed on slick paper. Then follows smaller versions of these same pages in black and white, with circled numbers on each design. These numbers relate to the number (in order) of each chart in the book. I find this system of indexing somewhat difficult to use.The designs themselves are printed in black and white with symbols in clear charts. When I've used designs from this book, I make an enlarged working copy to work from. The designs are printed on a flat-sheen paper (not slick).This book is an excellent source of small motifs that can be used in a variety of ways for quick stitched items like bookmarks, sock cuffs, waste canvas projects for babies and children, cards, etc. Designs are usually smaller than 70 x 70 stitches, most being much smaller than that. Designs can be combined to make your own creations.

I have been cross-stiching for many years, and have been enjoying this book for months now. My 73-year-old mother is a "novice" stitcher. We both love this book. There are many designs for things like bookmarks, bibs, towels, etc. If you are a good designer, you can make up your own sampler patterns, too. There are a lot of little motifs, some of them the backsticking isn't really very inspired, but if you like to start and finish a project in just a few days, this is just the book for you! Buy It!!!

A friend has this book, and when I saw it ,I just knew I had to add it to my own collection.I looked in Amazon and found it at an American seller.I was a bit worried about ordering, as I have never bought outside this country before, but then thought, that it must be O.K. if Amazon advertised their products. I need not have worried as my book arrived within the allotted time, and in very good condition. Thankyou once again Amazon.
