I found the rope to be a good value for my needs
I found the rope to be a good value for my needs. The company says that it is rated for 9000 lbs, so it is more than adequate for my needs. The rope may not be the highest quality, but than you must face the fact that you get what you pay for.Samson charges 3 or 4 times the price of Norestar.I found the rope to be true to size, but I haven't used it yet, I don't know what it will look like once stretched. The rope does look like it will fray from abrasive situations. The fibers look very fine and that means if they get snagged on anything, they are going to fray. So, once again, it's a good rope for the money, 9000lb rating is pretty good for most uses. .

Great Quality
This is a great rope. We used it as a tie off rope on a house boat to tie it to something on the shore. We received many compliments from other houseboat owners on how nice of a rope it is. The color matches out boat. We did cut the rope in half so we could have two 150 feet lines. A little hint if you cut it and burn the ends: use two rubber bands to hold the ends together immediately after cutting them so it doesn't fray so badly. or use two ribbons to tie around the rope before you cut. Burning the ends took a while, but it worked. Also, don't pull the rope down the wooden dock to lay it all out in one line. It will get splinters. We used the top of the boat to lay it out. We had to go down and back about 7 times, but we were able to find a half way point to cut it.

Not a true 1/2" no stated working strength.
This package came on time as stated. Rope came coiled into a nice bundle and shrink wrapped, so far so good! As I inspected the product closer the strands looked tight and of a sturdy feel. Other ropes purchased for my 24 cabin cruiser have been too-soft where individual fibers get snagged on everything pulling the rope apart, this rope is way better that that. Overall quality of fiber looks good. Also the metal eye is stainless and of adequate thickness. My concern is that the rope does not measure a half inch, it looks and feels like 3/8 used on many runabouts. Measuring the diameter revealed it's actually 7/16. You decide whether 7/16 is enough, there's nowhere on the package that indicates working strength. I plan to try it and will report if there's a problem.

Awesome anchor Rope
!!Awesome anchor Rope, awesome price!!Strong and flexible, easy on hands...Stainless steel thimble and the rope wrapping around it, appears to be high quality...Also extra stitching around top of thimble.Already bought a 150' roll of it, for anchoring in 50'-75' deep water...Work great!!!!And rolled nice in an old 2 gallon plastic bait bucket I had!!Anyhow I decided to get another 250' roll, for anchoring in 80'-100' deep water ...And was very little more for 100' more length... Wish I'd just bought two 250' rolls to begin with...And used an extra 100' of one 250' roll to make six-16' or four-25' tie-downs...lol

Good So Far
This rope looks good and seems to be strong enough for my 32 foot Bayliner Conquest Sundeck which is 12,000 pounds loaded. One thing that is unusual though is that the braiding fits loosely around the interior of the rope, as if whatever is inside the braiding is not large enough OR the braid was not woven tight enough. I have anchored out a couple times in calm weather and have no issues to report at this time.

Outstanding value
Outstanding value. You need to uncoil the line out of the box as it is not on a spool it will twist. I ran it around my yard and let it relax overnight. Coiled it into a bucket sand have used it twice now. Limp just as it should be no problems cooling in/ out of bucket. Size is right for my bow roller and line lock.

Appears to be what was advertised and arrived on time as well.
Although we purchased this item in the dead of winter, I am trusting that this will work well. It fit the shackle on the anchor chain, and now sits in the anchor locker. I have, however, since found braided anchor line of the same size elsewhere. But I bought this with a gift cert. and won't return it to save a couple of bucks. It does look rugged and of quality that will last for quite some time.

Used for a rope bridge for my sons.
So I used this for a completely different, unorthodox means of what it was intended for. I wanted a cheap way to build a rope bridge for the pirate ship I was building my sons. This fit the bill fantastically. I was happy as heck too that when you cut the ends they burn perfectly and together. It was almost like it was engineered to solidify if the ends are burned together. I attached a picture of the rope bridge I made.
