Pretty good!

Trying to save a little money by making an Indian dish at home, I got this to try. Is it restaurant-dish equivalent, no, as it’s on the bland side but adding spices and marinating your chicken 24 hours in advance for super tender chicken making the dish overall more cohesive helps. I didn’t do that the first time but have done it since and it makes the dish so much better. My only gripe is that there are chunks of onion in the sauce. I love the taste of onion, just don’t want to eat onion, if that makes sense. I purée my sauce before adding to my rice. Will buy again!

Additional condiments helped create great flavor

This works well in my crockpot for long simmering vegetable and chicken meals. It has a notable pepper taste, initially; so I added cumin, anise, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and garlic with added sea salt. After the first use, it was refrigerated about 3 weeks and maintained well with some separation. That's up to you, but it worked out fine for my use. I like it as a basic sauce that can be changed and enhanced with condiments.

Quick and easy but not 100%authentic

Don't get me wrong it is a great tasting quick sauce for an Indian dish. Maybe the BEST quick sauce I've found. But it is just that a quick sauce. If my Italian Great grandma saw me using Prego or some other store jar pasta sauce she would spring out of her grave to whack me with her spoon. I think this would be true of this Indian sauce too. It is good but homemade is better if you know what you are doing!

So flavorful

This is the best jarred tika masalla around. Turns leftovers into an instant exotic meal and fresh ingredients into a special, company worthy meal. My daughter introduced me to this sauce and we both purchase it regularly. Don't let the large container discourage your purchase. It lasts for a couple of weeks after you open it in the refrigerator and freezes beautifully in zip lock freezer bags.

For me and my family it's inedible

I make my own Tikka sometimes, and go to Indian restaurants often enough to be disgusted by this sauce. It tastes nothing like any Tikka I've ever had. It is very, very sour from the bottle and despite adding cream, curry, cumin, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, salt and more, I could not salvage the flavor. It is very rare that there is a version of something I love that I would not have been able to choke down even to get my money's worth. I had to throw it all away. It's honestly to the point where I wonder if this sauce had gone rancid. It truly is that bad to me. Never again.

It’s just okay.

Not the best canned prepared Tikka Masala sauce I’ve tasted but it’s alright. Not sure I’d buy it again though. Nice that its in a large jug instead of a tiny jar though.

Best sauce , I use it all the time

almost restaurant quality

Per 3 cups of sauce, add a tablespoon of turmeric, onion powder, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper, and you'll have the real deal. So glad I found this product!
