Worth the money
I wasn't sure whether this book was worth the almost $50 price for a USED copy, but it came today and I can unreservedly say YES it's worth the money! The book is loaded with full-color photos, many of specific highlighted details and it's just gorgeous from beginning to end. If you love historic architecture grab a copy of this book as soon as possible.

The must have Cape Cod house book!
My favorite book on the Cape Cod house! (and I have a lot of them!). The author includes drawings and plans from the Historic American Building Survey that were done during the depression and shows current photographs of the same house. It is wonderful to see the changes (and in many cases - no changes) from earlier photos/drawings. Best of all, this book includes a plethora of interior photos as well. It covers the origins of the Cape Cod style house from its humble beginnings in England to the areas of Cape Cod. I specialize in selling historic real estate on Cape Cod and this book is pure eye candy with wonderful information.

Our past, so basic so humble .
Mr Richmonds book , THE EVOLUTION OF THE CAPE COD HOUSE, An Architectual History is wonderful!Especially so, if you are a Architectual Art History buff such as I . Never would i have thought so much rich content between it's pages. I have my eye on one of these old bits of history. It is a circa 1750 home. God willing ,I will have the opportunity to restore life to her rich past. Thank you Mr Richmond.
