Good value, easy to install , my pontoon now drives like it has power steering as compared to the old cable steering. No steering feedback or vibration felt in steering wheel.

The 2024 season will be the 3rd year this kit has been in service on my boat. My only complaint with it is it does take more turns lock to lock than the Sea-Star. I can’t remember exactly how many now, I believe it is six turns. When I first installed it I thought this would be very annoying but I no longer notice it. The kit has worked flawless, have not had any leaks squeaks or problems. I have put roughly 250 hours on it in only salt water and other than the paint fading slightly it still looks the same as the day I installed it. That being said I am meticulous about washing down my entire boat after every use and oiling everything with Corrosion X or Fluid Film at the end of every season.I believe with the amount of savings this kit provides, it is a very good value.

I've gotten Vevor hydraulic steering for boats in the past. I haven't purchased many off Amazon yet, I sure will now again though. The delivery was very quick and everything was as described.

Easy installation if your mechanical as the written instructions are pretty worthless, but the pictures can help. The verbiage used is a poor translation to English from I'm assuming the Chinese manufacturer. The only thing I don't like is it takes about 9 full turns clock to clock that's allot of turning of wheel for little effect on rudder. (outboard motor) They refer to the motor as a (rudder) Take time to purge the air by fixing a bottle above the fill port and slowly turn wheel back and forth until all air bubbles are gone. BTW the one I ordered from amazon never showed up so I ordered one directly from Vevor and it showed up in a few days also it took weeks to get a refund from Amazon once they lost my order. I would by this directly from Vevor they answer the phone and shipped my Item same day.

Got system installed and then had wife help me when I applied the fluid to get all air out of system. Was harder getting old cable system removed. I did pull an electric wire fish tape when i pulled old cable out, it was tight coming out. I put a little lithium grease on new cable where I taped to fish tape and it pulled right thru the side into console.

I bought Vevor in the past and it works great. I charged $2k for a system install. There is a lot of works involve: removing the old rack-n-pinion dual steering. Remove motor, run hoses, assemble ramp, installing pump by cutting and drilling console, fill oil and purge air, test drive on water. This system has an inch left and an inch right tolerance so the steering wheel is always loose. It is pretty scary to drive. One of connector has poor cut threads. With thjs much work I cannot afford to take it out and return it. No one will pay for my extensive labor. I will not buy another system from you unless you recall this product and make improvement. I gave my customer $500 discount on the job. It sucks.
