failed after a few months of use.
Bought these in June 2017. By early 2018 the car started showing signs of warped caliper(pedal vibration). In March 2018 safety inspection found extreme uneven wear on the pads and warped rotors. These brake calipers failed after a few months of light use. The pistons stick and do not retract properly causing excessive wear and heat. The lousy calipers took out the rotors by excessive heat resulting in warped rotors. Very unhappy with this product.

Look and feel amazing
Bought these as a kit w/ ceramic pads and drilled and slotted rotors for my 2001 jeep Grand Cherokee. They look and feel amazing. Very easy to install and bolted right up with no issues. If you buy new rotors, make sure that you clean the rotors first w/ brake parts cleaner, or soap and water and make sure that you don't get any grease on the pads when you put them on. When you first get them on, they will make a little noise and the wheel will chatter a little. You have to do the break-in procedure that they outline with the kit. After that, the noise and chatter will go away. It did on my jeep. Hope this helps. After a week of driving on them, absolutely no noise. Jeep stops on a dime, and feels like a completely different car. With the old calipers, the car would shake when braking, especially on hard deceleration. With the new calipers, there is not even the whisper of a vibration. Highly recommend this product if you are experiencing this same issue.

Smooth as silk...
Bought this for my Grand Cherokee to replace the Callahan’s that seized up after only 2 years being installed. The calipers and brackets are fairly easy to install, brake performance is smooth and quiet. The sliding pins came pre-greased with silicone which is a plus.So far no issues to be mentioned after being installed for over two weeks now, hope they last longer than the other brand.

Save your money on these
The calipers fit perfectly and upgrade you to the better Akebono calipers. Everything you need is there and works flawlessly. I even purchased Power Stop K2149 Front Z23 Evolution Brake Kit with Drilled/Slotted Rotors and Ceramic Brake Pads 1 to go with the calipers. Here is my issue, I purchased these 2 years ago and about 25k miles ago. One of the calipers seized after about a year about 10-15k miles, they would not release the brake. This is my daily driver, so I did not have time to deal with any warranty processes and just purchased another from my local auto parts store (FYI, if you by a Akebono caliper, it comes with the mount you need to swap from the Teves). One piston on the caliper was completely seized and would not budge. Just this past weekend I went to replace the pads and rotors as they were worn out. I found the other Powerstop caliper had seized as well, once again one piston could not be retracted. Once again I went to the local auto parts store for a replacement. I have never had calipers that don't even last the life of the brake pads. One caliper could have been a freak defect, 2 calipers there is something wrong. I even flushed fresh brake fluid through the system before replacement and then again after the first failure. In conclusion, I cannot recommend these, especially not anywhere salt is used on the roads. I live in PA and that may have been a factor. I would recommend saving your money and buy 2 replacements calipers and not this kit. You'll probably save $50 or more and get everything the kit has minus the shiny red paint. I realize these are just the same calipers with a nice coating, but for the price I was hoping for a quality assembly that would be a true upgrade.
