Celestial Fire Pit Cover for 12” Square Burner Pan (15" Actual Size), Stainless Steel

I bought this to use as cover for my SoloStove Bonfire so I can leave it out in the elements and not have rain gunk up the ashes inside. And presumably further slow down any oxidation of the stainless steel. It is also nice if I should want to snuff the fire. The snuff “feature” is interesting. I’ve only done it when there were very few active flames but rather mostly a bed of hot coals. The top is completely sealed from smoke escaping but the smoke comes pouring out from the holes at the bottom. So I’m sure there is an increase in heat to the surface the fire pit is sitting on. Mine is on pavers so it’s of no concern. Snuffing may be more used at a campsite where the environment is more susceptible to forest fires than at my relatively safe house area.I found the cover off of the stove once after a thunderstorm, though I don’t think it blew off by itself. I believe a chair blew over into into it, dislodging it somewhat and then he wind tossed it off. It’s quite heavy but storm winds are very powerful too. No big deal though.Overall I’ve very pleased with it for this purpose. It is very well built and up to the task. It hangs over the outside edge of the Bonfire by about 1 3/8” all around. The finish is slightly more brushed than the finish on the stove but it is a minor difference. The bigger difference, which is of no real consequence, is that the cover has remained the original color since it is not super heated like the stove. Whereas the stove turns a light coppery brown color on all except the bottommost portion.

The original stainless fire pit cover we have, had a welded handle. It is no good without it. That being said, finding this was great. It has a screw-on handle, so that is a quick install. It also has a side edge to hug the fire pit and not come off in wind. It looks really nice as well, and is very sturdy and because it is stainless steel will not rust!

Looks good, easy-to-use I got the larger one for an WL Lee table. It's $150 cheaper than the one from OW Lee and it looks fine. I could have gone with a smaller one but this one covers the edges of the fire pit completely.

Fits our custom made fire pit perfectly. Holds up to bad weather (monsoon season in AZ) and keeps the debris off the glass and out of the pit. Good quality and does exactly what I was hoping it would do.

Was exactly as I had hoped! Sturdy and quality is great. We have had landscaping companies ask me where we got this fire pit cover so that they could recommend it to their customers! Looks custom. Very happy with the product.

At first look, I was very pleased with the look and quality of this item. With the second look, I wasn’t so happy. One corner is bent. This was an expensive item, and it should be perfect. I will most likely return it and order from another company.
