Rugged Ridge Deluxe Carpet Kit for Jeep CJ/Wrangler YJ | Polypropylene, Black | 13690.01 | Fits 1976-1995 Jeep CJ & Wrangler YJ

I did a lot of digging into different brands before I went with this one. For just shy of $300, it was in the middle of the price range. Yes, you will have to make cuts and holes but you should know this before going into the project. I also got 2 cans of Permatex headliner adhesive. I installed the pieces in the order on the directions and it ended up looking great (for a DIYer). I took pictures of each area before I glued them down and I would use nailed to find the holes. Once I had the holes marked out, I used a soldering iron to make the holes and it would melt the threads so they wouldn’t unravel. The adhesive said to spray both sides for best results but that made it extremely difficult to reposition the fabric. I found that spraying the surface of the jeep and immediately putting the carpet in place worked best. The toughest area was the front section. Cutting around the shifters was a pain but just use stay calm and make small cuts. I had to cut a good chunk off the very front so it wouldn’t interfere with the pedals. Overall, the quality is great, the price was worth it, and I would def get this product again. On a bonus note, the Jeep is so much quieter now that the carpet is installed!

Good carpet. I used large velcro straps for adhesion. Use ice picks to locate bolt holes. Work slowly. Good results can be had.

I purchased this to replace my 20 year old molded carpet in my '95 wrangler. Fit was absolutely terrible. I didn't realize this would not fit until after I had to cut holes to make fit. At that point, I was committed. Besides terrible fit,, the quality of carpet was not good. When it said "Deluxe Replacement" I expected a carpet that was a step up from my original carpet The quality of this really bad.Bottom line, I could not return since I cut to fit. I ended up re-installing my old worn out carpet and threw this product in the trash. Worst $159 I ever spent.

A very good quality product with good padding in all the right places. Every Rugged Ridge product that I have purchased has been of good quality. Very pleased!

This kit was ok, took allot of fitting and cutting. But for the price it was worth the work.

What an improvement. It was about as easy to install as possible considering how many cuts is required for seats, shifters, and other penetrations. I use a good pair of scissors and occasionally a box cutter. The advice by others to use the Permatex 27828 glue was right on. One 16.75 oz. can is more than enough.

What a deal! Sure it's gray, not black... but hey better than that ratty stuff you might have now!! Fits pretty good, minimum wrinkles. Not too hard to install.

A lot of cutting to match the original shape. The original carpet was attached with Velcro so you could take it out and clean it. I refused to glue this down so I had to go out and buy some Velcro strips. I had to use some Gorilla glue to get the Velcro to stick to the back of the carpet. This carpet is not as good as the OEM. Save your old carpet to use as a templet.
