Good price great quality perfect for a restart or a Jumpstart.
Picked this up bc after about 16 years i wanted to get back into magic. I purchased a few commander precons and a land station but wanted to make my own deck and rebuild a collection. This product was far better than expected i remember way back buying from my local shop the same tyoe of bulk and getting almost half lands and the other half duplicates and not really usuable cards on ontop of that. With this there was very very few duplicates and with only 37 lands all of which where either dual lands or non basic. A good mix of common and uncommon with about 30 rare and a holo mythic with 28 holo mix of common uncommon rare. Where I think the star city box shines though is all cards except like 2 where like fresh out of the pack quality and as shown in the pic the color mix is pretty damn fair. So that being said if your just starting to play or jumping back in after a long time like myself I definitely recommend. Honestly im probably gonna grab another box just because of how varied the cards are even had a good chunk of lord of the rings cards mixed in.

A surprisingly good haul.
Fun way to get started or add to an already existing collection. I actually received a hair over 1000, getting 1112 with a solid mix though I had a bit of a skew towards green but not by a very large margin. If you want to play commander and already have a precon would make for a fun way to add cards you don't know of and may not commonly see. All cards were in great quality as well, which is always a nice bonus. Photos of cards after I separated by color lighter for scale of stack and a break down for some of the types of cards received. A handful of duplicates but for a standard format that's not too bad. For the price an absolute steal.

Good variety of cards!
I have bought bulk 1,000 mtg cards on eBay before with ok enough luck with usable stuff and cards from older sets that have odd interaction. Those sets I spent around $20-$23 each on, some with a lot of duplication, some with mostly junk. This time I decided to spend a little more and got the gold collection for $35.I’m honestly impressed, duplication was pretty light, got a bunch of legendary creatures and usable stuff, some staples were in my set of 1,000. Some of the rares were pretty good to for using. I felt like the person who packed this was leaving breadcrumbs of card interaction to build two new commander decks I’m onto making now: blue/white flyers and blue black mill. I got enough out of this deck to get inspired to build those two new decks, and got a great start on the 99. This set is great for beginners too, you can build some jank decks out of it outright or get started with usable cards for deck building. Card quality was fine, maybe two or three cards were heavily played. I honestly am going to get this set again down the road.

Pleasantly Suprised
I am very pleased with this bulk box. It's both affordable, and worth your wile. It got here way quicker than the box from 4Knights. They guaranteed (I think) 25 foil cards, and I got 28. I didn't count all the cards in the box, but it was stuffed full, to the point where the box was bowing out. I got a very nice variety of cards from all mana types, and quite the collection of legendary creatures aswell. Sets ranged from core set 7 up to the most recent; including cards from Dr. Who, Lotr, and D&D. I was also surprised to find Sliver creature cards from almost all mana types. There were some duplicates, but I only found a max of 3 extra dupes per cards, and they were mostly full arts or alternative prints, so I'm totally cool with thatAs to why my rating isn't a full 5 stars, we need to go back to how full the box was. It was both a blessing and a curse. Again, I'm very happy with the amount of cards I got, but the cards at the ends of the rows took some hurt. Tho it was stuffed full, somehow in transit, a few cards shifted and got trapped between the edge of the box and the divider insert. They sadly got pretty bent because of this, and some of the other cards warped because of being pressed against the wall of the box for an extended period of time.Over all, I think this is a great bulk box choice for anyone wanting to get into the game. Aside from basic lands, I have enough variety to make multiple mono decks or split decks. Thank you, Star City Games, for making a good value product.

Good mix
Every handful of cards had a legendary in it. Very few duplicates. Excellent card condition. More expensive than other boxes, but a better value overall for collecting.

Worth it!
For $35, you get 1000+ cards. My box came with 1,108. While you won't find very many cards worth over .40, the total value this added to my collection was around $125. The condition was lightly played to near mint, some of the cards were slightly warped (an easy fix). Here's the spread:Duplicates- No more than 4 of whatever dupes I got. Of course, I personally welcome duplicates.Set range- Mostly sets from 2000s, but there were some of the 90s as well. A fair amount of Onslaught, some of the LOTR, a few of the various Welcome sets. My guess is the origins of these cards were mostly from packs opened at events and rejected or traded out. (This is a good thing, let's keep these out of the landfills!)Lands- No basic lands (surprisingly), but a healthy amount of specials.Languages- I got a very small amount of French cards. This might make some xenophobic fans squirm, but I LOVE to get the foreign cards! What a treat! I'm looking forward to seeing what other foreign cards will come with my next box.Rares and Foils- If you're looking for treasure, you won't find it here. Most of them are worth a penny on the market. But that's the thing about the market: Some of the commons are worth more than the foil-mystic-legendary-whatever-rares.Color balance- Pretty evenly balanced, though Black and White cards had deeper stacks. This box will please the multi-color crowd, I could build a rainbow deck with the amount of this type.Overall, I think it's worth the money. For the price of a handful of boosters, you get 1,000+ cards.
