Stirr - The Unique Automatic Pan Stirrer - With LED Speed Indicator, Teal

I got this to make slushes and it works even in the freezer. I'm excited about the slushes I can make now!

I Purchased this so that I can make sausage gravy. The sausage by itself is too hard to stir but once I put the milk in my pan in the stir works amazingly at one and some thing that I can walk away and stir the gravy and not have it burn, you turn it down a couple of notches more than normal if you were standing there and stirring, but in the end my gravy, second with the the sausage in the gravy worked out really well. The next thing that we’re gonna make will be rice pudding. Our recipe is quite simple, 1 gallon of milk, 1 cup of rice . Will see how this turns out I’m pretty confident.

But not a must have in your kitchen

First. The contents in pan or pot has to be under 3” or really less. Because the motor can’t get wet. I don’t recall seeing that in the description but I could be wrong. I need it to stir noodles. I have yet to try it on eggs. Or a sauce. But will update my review. Just was hoping it would handle deeper pot items. It said porridge. So I thought it has to handle deeper amounts. Not pleased.

We tried this product as well as the type that clamps to the side of the pot. There is NO comparison, as this product, as cool as it looks on paper, just cannot stir the sauce if it is thicker than water. Even turkey gravy was too much for this.The type that holds the side of the pan works really well and I will be purchasing another one of those, but this device is going back.

The media could not be loaded. Here I am testing the item on the low setting in some noodles that like to stick & clump. It did quite well. I still wouldn’t leave anything on the stove unattended for very long, but if the doorbell rings, the dog needs to come in or go out, the phone rings, nature calls… this will have your back. It would be great if they came out with a larger one too!

It stirs well in a shallow pan of just liquid, but that’s about it. A taller pan of liquid it struggles in, as well as if there’s pasta in the pan. With pasta it turns maybe a quarter inch then stops, then turns a quarter inch the other way and then stops. It completely spins in a shallow pan of just liquid though. But that makes this basically useless as I’m not worried about liquid burning or sticking to the bottom of the pan, that doesn’t need stirring. Pans of actual food ingredients like pasta are what needs stirring, and this can’t do that.

Literally - everyone that walked into the party in the kitchen said they wanted one. Where did I get it? It was they hit the party. It works great too.
