Electrifying

would reccomend

Product was delivered on time and worked as i had planned. For the amount of wire, one spool comes at a reasonable price. Had great fun melting small segments with some batteries.

not really Nichrome

Read the details! This is very low alloy nichrome. Really steel wire with a little alloy.

Nichrome 60 32g same thickness as kanthal 30g

I use for vaping, works great, suggest wiping wire with rubbing alcohol before using or glow your coils alot before wicking, there is mechanical oil residue still on wire (which is the only reason I reduced a star)Ps this is nichrome 60 32g which is about the same thickness as kanthal a1 30g

Great for safely lighting consumer fireworks

I used this wire to electronically light consumer fireworks for 4th of July. The wire was very reliable at lighting fuses with 12 volts and a car battery. Don't try to use this with a few AA or 9 volt batteries. The wire will glow once and the batteries will be drained. I'd recommend at least a 7 amp rechargeable 12 volt. It's pretty simple to set up. Wrap a few turns of the ni-chrome around a nail and it becomes a coil. Place the coil over the fuse on your firework. Tape in place so it doesn't slip off and attach alligator clips to the wires that will lead to the battery. Build or buy a switchbox bay and hook the wires up to the switches.. I used 500ft rolls of electric dog fence wire to make the connections (probably 24 gauge). I had one common ground wire come back to the battery with a central ground post on the 4x8 board I used to mount the fireworks. This saves a ton of wire allowing you to bring only 1 wire back for each firework and just one common ground wire. I sat back 50ft and was able to enjoy the show without the hassle of manually lighting the fuses. As always use extreme caution even when dealing with consumer fireworks.

Better off with Kanthal (for rebuilding e-cig atomizers, at least)

I purchased this to attempt to rebuild atomizer cores for my e-cigs.Just a forewarning which I think was shared by another review: there is finishing oil on this wire, so if you intend to use it for atomizer cores, make sure you clean it off (wiping with iso alcohol works fine).I found the wire somewhat difficult to work with, but the atomizer I ended up crafting turned out working pretty well! The wire is squirrely and will want to unravel seemingly ENDLESSLY. Careful.I have since tried the same with Kanthal, which was much easier to form into a coil from the get-go. Perhaps heat treating the nichrome wire will make it more malleable and easier to work with?Either way, it works, it's just finicky.

Great stuff, would buy again.

Fun stuff, right price and if you have an imagination you can do much, much more with it than make a coil for your mod or a foam cutter... with basic knowledge of Ohm's law and some electrical knowledge as well, the things you can do are endless. Even in the pottery world... Great stuff, would buy again.

Good price

based on operating temperature 1150 C we can conclude that this is Nichrome 60 which means it has approximately 60% nickel and chromium (approx. 15%) composition and melting temperature: 1350°C (2462°F). It also called NiCrC if im not mistaken.0.274 mm diameter32 SWG = 29.4 AWG?I'd like to add more info..
