The ABCs of Law (Very Young Professionals)

Good book for exposing children to basic legal terminology. A few pages were obvious that the book was made to entertain legal professionals but overall, the book fit what I was looking for to expose my child to legal terminology in a fun and playful way. The illustrations could have looked a little happier and less menacing for kids such as “N is for Negligence” where an illustration insinuates an animal is close to being significantly hurt in an accident or “F is for felony” and shows a sad animal jailed behind bars. Overall, I kept it for the value I believe it brings in educating my toddler. Pictures attached.

In the same way that Scott Turow's classic "1L" shaped a generation of would-be lawyers, so too will "The ABCs of Law." By breaking down complex law firm behavior and the judicial system in a digestible and engaging way, children will learn to either love or hate the law at a young age. Within minutes of reading, one of my nephews dedicated himself to criminal law, while the other swore to never go to law school. Finding yourself has never been so fun and easy for kids!

I gave this book to my sister for her son. She and I are both attorneys, and we got a kick out of reading all the quirky definitions of different legal concepts. My nephew is 7 months old, and even though I know talking to him is great for his cognitive development, I'm awful at chatting with babies who I know can't understand me. This book gave me something to talk to the little guy about, which makes it an A+ resource as far as I'm concerned. Highly recommended as a gift to any attorneys you know who have kids or may be expecting!

This book is HILARIOUS! It is a great gift for any lawyer who is a recent parent or parent of toddlers. Lots of fun, cute characters and funny satirical definitions. And a child can actually learn some basic law principles by reading this!

Any lawyer I show this to is equally mesmerized by how simply this book explains the most useful concepts of Law. I have recommended this to every one of my lawyer friends and each one of them has ordered it for their friends, family and to show it to their kids. A great gift to anybody in the law community as well. If you are in law school, highly recommend telling your fellow students and professors about this.

I bought this book for one of my Law school girlfriends and she absolutely bursted out laughing... (she's not pregnant or has kids...). She ended up getting one for her boss as well.Great for any lawyer or anyone interested in law. The illustrations are hilarious.... N is for Negligence 😉.

As a practicing lawyer, I found this book to be too real! It's literally like my daily routine in parody form. I gave this book to three lawyer friends and they absolutely loved it. Incredible gift for any lawyer, or anyone that wants to be a lawyer.

I bought this for my niece. While she is quite young, I get a kick out of reading it to her. And, if am being honest, that is really the most important attribute of a good gift. My only question to the authors is whether this is primary or secondary authority? Oh, and how do I Bluebook cite this?

Bought as a gift for a friend's baby as my friend has a law degree. Great quality product, so glad I came across this. My friend thought it was brilliant :)
