Great little car
Easy to put together except when we glued the fenders they slid down a bit we had to remove them and re glue them. Otherwise overall great little car!

Kit is almost complete, easy for a ten yr old.
Really nice kit, a ten year old had no issue with building it. You will need body putty or something similar to fill in the fender gaps. Suggest a gel based super glue that works on wood. That can be used for both joint filler and for mounting plastic parts as needed. My paint job usiung a good spray enamel and everything else by my son...car looks really nice. Would suggest avoiding included paints, they are water based and will blend on edges with other colors. A good one is Krylon and the Lowes house brand.

Takes some work, but worth it.
For those with strong skills, this kit is 5 stars, but this is NOT a "no-brainer" kit as the description implies. It takes significant work, sanding and modifying to get a decent finished product. As others have said, the paint is un-usable. The stickers are okay, but require being clear coated to truly stick. One very nice surprise was the one piece, solid axels are really nice, for those who do NOT have to conform to any pack regulations regarding wheels or axels. If you do, the kit also comes with standard nails, although the wheels are also NOT regulation BSA. My finished car, at regulation 5 oz weight, was the 3rd fastest car in the derby, with only a small amount of graphite on the axels. I would guess, with some real work on the wheels, this car could have easily been the fastest.

Lifesaver for hot mess mama
Perfect for last minute pinewood derby race. We had a lot going on with the family and didn’t have time to design & cut a car this year. This saved our butts. Thank you! If for cub scouts, make sure to buy BSA approved tires as these were not approved by ours

Kit missing parts
The kit is an excellent idea and would have been perfect for what we needed. When I initially received the car, we baked it for two hours, sanded down the block, and glued the part onto the wood. The problem occurred when we started to put it together and noticed that the axles were missing from the kit. It would have been fine if it were one of the non-essential parts, but of course, the axle is needed. The instructions could be written better. There is that also. However, if you've already put one together, it shouldn't be a problem.
