Flambeau Outdoors 5986MS Masters Series Flocked Lone Howler Coyote Decoy

I got this be cause the deer were destroying my orchard. I raised the fence and put this in the area that they were jumping over. So far so good.On a side note, as far as to the realism, after I put it together I put it close to our sleeping dogs and cat and woke them up. Our once passive English pointer became “Kujo” the cat puffed up like a blow fish and started making noises that I didn’t think that a cat could make.In retrospect it might have been a little mean but i needed to test the realism. It passed. :-)

The Flambeau coyote decoy we bought has been used to try to waterfowl from landing at our pool. It's been mildly effective, but Canada geese and ducks still land at the pool. Either they're very smart, or very stupid. Still, the humans in our community have been fooled, contractors have been startled by the decoy, and some residents have even called the Sheriff's dept to investigate what you'd think was OBVIOUSLY a static, coyote statue. I guess waterfowl are smarter than some humans? We'll continue using it, as we had fewer waterfowl at our community pool this year over last year, through a combination of scary eyes balls, mylar spinners and pinwheels, and OFC Coyote standing guard.

Got it to hopefully deter a opossum from pooping in my yard. I have stray cats, squirrels also that makes home in my yard. I looked at Amazon for this and came across 2 what I thought were different models as they were different prices too, but they are exactly the same. One was $75. and the other was $61. Both are the same model number and product. So save yourself $14. and get the one that is $61. and not the $75. model. These are designed with a hole in stomach area and when it is shipped, the legs are in the body and you need to assemble the product. For mine, I put a brick and rock in the inside so to weight it down, otherwise it could tip over in a strong wind. Overall it seems to be okay, we'll see.

I laughed at my husband when be bought this. I figured it would make an entertaining yard ornament at best. He got the last laugh. This thing has been AWESOME. We keep him down by our beach at our lake front home. We used to have a number of geese stop by and leave quite the mess of droppings. No more! ALL SUMMER this guy has kept our beach geese free.

Looks good very sturdy however I have not had a chance to take it hunting this year yet

I like the decoy looks great at a distance, but there wasn't any flocking on it , from what I am used to with my goose decoys. But it had a matted finish on it . I would have given it 5 stars if it was truly flocked .

Stopped this coyote in his tracks, on a dead run towards caller.Stopped long enough for a 120 yd shot standing still

Very frightening... to my dogs. Not so frightening to the geese which I am trying to scare off my lawn.
