Winsor & Newton Watercolor Medium, Art Masking Fluid, Colourless, 75ml (2.5-oz) bottle

I have joined an art class and the concept of using this to preserve white space was introduced. I left on for over a day and it still came off easily. Good quality.

Love this stuff. Bought a pen to do fine detail but you can use cheap brushes to apply larger areas. Just remember to wash them with soap and water immediately to clean them.Very pleased with product. Will purchase again.

Great for blocking out areas when doing watercolor paintings. Goes on easily, typically comes off easily. Dries quickly. Neutral color. The reason for the 4 stars is that it seems to dry out more quickly than we'd like, so that we have to buy a new bottle every other time we start a painting.

I have only practiced on a small sketchbook but will be using this on a bigger piece. There's a few things I want to say about this product because it definitely gets the job done as long as you use it patiently. I used a thickish layer for the eyes and the cheecks and a bit thinner yet uneven layer for the mouth. I wanted to try something out by patting the mouth part dry with my finger- and immediately regretted it. Make sure the masking fluid is completely dry/a bit tacky and then paint over it. Wait until the paint is around 90% dry atleast and you can easily remove the film by gently rubbing with your finger. I didn't know how I'd know if it came off at first but I was pleasantly suprised to know that as long as you find an approximated edge it very easily rubs off into a colored thin film! I had a very nice first experience with it. 2 other things to note is that the fluid looks very milky and not transparent like in the images shown. Theres also an appalling smell but honestly the products quality outweighs that one con. Now I'm wondering how it'll last with multiple layers. Photo is in natural sunlight.

This stuff is AMAZING!! I didn't know masking liquid existed for the longest so I would take hours layering paint pens to get the stark white lettering that I love! Now I can just apply this with the back of a small paintbrush and rub it off when I'm done! It saves me so much time and I couldn't be happier! The smell is not great but its also not overbearing. I love that it stays tacky and has a bit of reflection to it so you know where it is on your paper! It just makes watercolor so much easier 💙

Winsor & Newton Art Masking Fluid does the job. My wife is a watercolor illustrator, and recently needed to re-stock. This is her go-to maskoid. Simply to apply, effective at blocking color bleed, and easy to remove. It arrived quickly and in good condition. This should last her into next year.
