Fast installation. Works.
I installed this in about 10 minutes. I use it to keep my little ones from getting out of the house unnoticed. I think as a last resort this lock could keep an honest man honest. If someone wants to get in your house, they will. This lock will at least make sure their arrival is very loud. I can hear from the other end of the house when my toddler tries to leave or when my spouse forgets to undo the lock. I am a large, heavy handed man, and I have opened the door with intention a few times while this was engaged and I haven't destroyed it yet. Works well for my purposes.

Worked for an open OUT door!
This solved a huge problem for me. We've had thefts from our back yard and attempts to break in the house but the back door opened out and not in. We were at a loss as to what kind of secondary security to use in case of a lock pick. This chain was the right length and it's super strong. No one is getting in that way. And the door doesn't open wide enough for anything to cut the chain from outside either (first photo shows this).For install I used a tiny drill bit made for metal on my hammer drill as we have steel reinforced doors. After that the screws enclosed with the chain worked just fine. Finish also matched my current brushed nickel hardware. Very happy.

Alright Product
Not too much of a fan. Although it works and functions. Its material isnt very heavy and I feel with the right amount of force it can be broken off.
