This book is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. Every spread is gorgeous. All too often "picture" books have a just a couple of desirable photos. Every page is a joy to turn and turn back for. I am thrilled with this book--it is beautifully and tastefully executed. Well worth the modest investment for the yield of continuing enjoyable return. If you are a true lover of period exotic interiors, you will not be disappointed.

I have been collecting design books for years and I was a bit disappointed in this book considering how many wonderful and truly exotic rooms/houses in the world.

Beautiful photographs and mouth watering decor. This is a great coffee table book. Enjoy a trip to exotic lands and access to interiors you may never get to see other than as an armchair viewer!

A feast for your eyes! This book will not disappoint with all the colorful photos.

This book was a huge disappointment for me. Found nothing in it that I could relate to. If you want a decorating book I would suggest Exotic Style Decorating ideas from around the World. It tells you how to create an exotic style in your home. There was nothing in the Exotic Taste book that even inspired me.

Love this style of interior design! I found inspirational ideas for my business. Unusual use of colors which creates excitement.

Visually a wonderful book, but historically, very well written as well. The photographs are incredible for anyone with an interest in the subject matter.

Sumptuous interiors and artefacts allied to a scholarly but readable text. A superb book of reference but also a book to help you dream of putting together your own wall of blue-and-white Ming and Qing porcelain!

Great book, Great pictures and a very interesting read

A beautiful book anyone would be pleased to own (in fact I bought my copy for someone else, flicked through it, and was so enamoured I swapped him another book for it). Lovely, lovely

This book is extravagant in every way. It will provide me with many hours of wonderful viewing. I have only flipped through but am going to make time to give this book hours and hours of my time.
